News: Gore & Kerry Poll Worse Then Bush, Ethnic Cleansing Takes Hold In Iraq, McCain Slapped Around By NY'ers

Why Are Gore and Kerry Polling Worse Than Bush?

Excerpt: For starters, it means that Al Gore and John Kerry are big losers in the public eye; they weren't the guys at the inauguration. Even though the results of the 2000 and 2004 elections have been contested and remain in dispute, the truth is that neither Gore nor Kerry ever commanded any kind of massive public support for their positions.

H.L.s Take: Gore is a loser who gave up, and probably lost the election on purpose. Skull Brother Kerry definitely threw the election to his Secret Society Bro. Bush. They are losers. If either one of them runs for President again, they will lose again. Lets get a winner in their like Feingold, Hell even Hilary will be a fighter, and you get Bill in the package.

Sweeping Scandal Under The Rug

The latest development this week in the Republican's attempt to legalize illegal spying came from none other than Senator Arlen "I love the Constitution one day, I hate it the next" Specter. Specter caved to the White House and modified his already bad bill by taking out the provision which would have had the FISA court rule on its constitutionality. The White House, you can be sure, is very very happy:

Documentary Highlights Growing Trend Of Homeless Iraq War Vets...
The nightmare of Iraq was bad enough for Vanessa Gamboa. Unprepared for combat beyond her basic training, the supply specialist soon found herself in a firefight, commanding a handful of clerks.
"They promoted me to sergeant. I knew my job but I didn't know anything about combat. So I'm responsible for all these people and I don't know what to tell them but to duck," Gamboa said.

Thousands Of Katrina Victims In FEMA Trailers Receive Eviction Notices...

The mail carrier brought the registered letter to Jessica Lessard's tiny trailer, along with a sour and foreboding comment: "I hope you got better news than I got," she said.
Lessard, 24, tore open the envelope and felt like crying. The letter was from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It said she and her family had 30 days to leave the flimsy, government-issued box that has been their home since Hurricane Katrina.

There are kooks and cranks and crazies among you who think that George Bush lost the 2004 election. For example, there's an audio blog going around with TV star Larry David reading a story called,"Kerry Won," a chapter in a book called, Armed Madhouse. I know, because I wrote it.
How you go about jerry-rigging a democracy has a lot to do with two other, seemingly unrelated stories, in the news this week: illegal surveillance of our phone records and the new border war against immigrants.
The glue between these three stories -- elections manipulation, War on Terror and War on Immigration -- is a four letter: data.
