Protesters To Greet Bush in Va. 82% Believe Gov. Lied About 9/11. Former Bush Official Going to Prison.

Fan and foe will greet Bush during Virginia Beach visit

Bush will be chilling here on Friday

The residence of Bob Stanton, which President Bush is expected to visit Friday, is at the Bayville Golf Club, off First Court Road, in Virginia Beach.

VIRGINIA BEACH — When President Bush arrives in Virginia Beach on Friday, he likely will see dozens of welcoming supporters with banners and signs at Bayville Farms Park.
He also probably will see protesters.
Competing demonstrations are planned for the president’s visit. Both are scheduled for Bayville Farms Park, which Bush probably will pass on his way to the nearby home of developer Bob Stanton.
Stanton is hosting an invitation-only, $5,000-per-person fundraising luncheon for U.S. Rep. Thelma Drake, R-2nd District. His home is across the street from the park, within the Bayville Golf Club.

No Longer The Minority: 82% Plus Support Charlie Sheen

Despite the best efforts of the now whimpering attack poodles of the mainstream media, an online CNN poll shows that over four-fifths, or 82 per cent, agree with actor Charlie Sheen that the U.S. government covered up the real events of the 9/11 attacks.
Every establishment media mouthpiece aside from CNN tried to hang Sheen on his own words but it simply didn't work because those same questions are firing the synapses in the heads of millions upon millions of other taxpaying American citizens.

Judith Miller's Advance Warning of al Qaida Attacks

In 2001, an anonymous White House source leaked top-secret NSA intelligence to reporter Judith Miller that Al Qaida was planning a major attack on the United States. But the story never made it into the paper.

Is Judith Miller Heading Back To Jail

Miller, the ex-New York Times reporter at the center of the affair who famously spent eighty-five days in the slammer before revealing that Libby was in fact her once-anonymous source, declined to speak on the record about the possibility of further incarceration, saying that to do so would be like "waving a red flag at the judge." Miller's attorneys also declined comment, but lawyers close to the ongoing legal skirmish between Libby and Miller, three other reporters and three major news organizations say the question will be answered later this month, once U.S. District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton finishes sorting out the various motions, filings and arguments now being advanced by all sides in the case.

Former Bush campaign official sentenced to prison

CONCORD - A senior official in US President George W. Bush’s re-election campaign was sentenced to 10 months in prison on Wednesday for his role in suppressing votes in a key US Senate race, a scandal that Democrats charge may involve the White House.
James Tobin, 45, one of three Republican campaign operatives convicted in a phone-jamming scheme designed to keep New Hampshire Democrats from voting in a 2002 election, was convicted in December of two telephone harassment charges.
Prosecutors had asked for a two-year sentence.

H.L. Attends Movie Premier in Hollywood

Hate Crime

I attended the L.A. Premier of the new movie Hate Crime last night in Hollywood. The event started off with the cast of the movie showing up and having pictures taken by many photographers. We then proceeded into the theatre where the film's director Tommy Stovall made some introductions. Ebony Tay, who wrote and performed the main song in the movie, got up and did a short set on acoustic guitar including the song that she performed in the movie called “Jesus was Crucified by a .45” After this, the movie, which starred Seth Peterson and Bruce Davison, rolled.
Two gay men live in a suburban home in Texas, and Chris, the uptight son of a fire and brimstone preacher, moves in next door. Chris soon confronts his neighbor Robbie, played by Peterson. The tension between all involved soon explodes into a series of events that draw the movie to a powerfully thought-provoking and controversial ending. My personal favorite scene cuts back and forth between a church service that preaches God is love, and is all about peace and understanding, and another service in which the Preacher, Pastor Boyd (Davison) is giving his most fervent "God will send you to hell for eternity" sermons. The film was shot in Dallas, which is Director Stovall’s home town
Longtime readers of The H.L. know that I watch movies for a living, so I have a pretty good barometer for the good ones, and Hate Crime is definitely one of those. One way I can tell how good a film is, is to see how long it takes before I look at my watch to see how much time is left. I didn’t do that once during Hate Crime, which is rare these days.
After the end credits rolled, the cast came up on stage for a Q&A session, followed by an after-party at a nearby restaurant where I met Tommy Stovall and Executive Producer Marc Sterling.
Hate Crime will be playing at The Sunset 5 in Hollywood for at least the next week and premiers are set up in other towns. Check out the website, and go see it.
