Fan and foe will greet Bush during Virginia Beach visit
VIRGINIA BEACH — When President Bush arrives in Virginia Beach on Friday, he likely will see dozens of welcoming supporters with banners and signs at Bayville Farms Park.
He also probably will see protesters.
Competing demonstrations are planned for the president’s visit. Both are scheduled for Bayville Farms Park, which Bush probably will pass on his way to the nearby home of developer Bob Stanton.
Stanton is hosting an invitation-only, $5,000-per-person fundraising luncheon for U.S. Rep. Thelma Drake, R-2nd District. His home is across the street from the park, within the Bayville Golf Club.

Is Judith Miller Heading Back To Jail
Excerpt:
Miller, the ex-New York Times reporter at the center of the affair who famously spent eighty-five days in the slammer before revealing that Libby was in fact her once-anonymous source, declined to speak on the record about the possibility of further incarceration, saying that to do so would be like "waving a red flag at the judge." Miller's attorneys also declined comment, but lawyers close to the ongoing legal skirmish between Libby and Miller, three other reporters and three major news organizations say the question will be answered later this month, once U.S. District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton finishes sorting out the various motions, filings and arguments now being advanced by all sides in the case.

CONCORD - A senior official in US President George W. Bush’s re-election campaign was sentenced to 10 months in prison on Wednesday for his role in suppressing votes in a key US Senate race, a scandal that Democrats charge may involve the White House.

Prosecutors had asked for a two-year sentence.
