       11/15/05: Sound Similar?

Bush to Fire Parting Shot at Iraq Critics

Excerpt:
He was expected to defend himself against Democrats' criticism that he manipulated intelligence and misled the American people about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction as he sought grounds to go to war against Saddam Hussein in 2003. In a speech on Friday, Bush said his critics were "deeply irresponsible" and were making "false charges.

H.L.s Take: In other words he is going to LIE to us again. Like a child who is caught red handed, he still refuses to admit the truth we all know. He still doesn't realize that nothing he says no will matter, the horse is out of the barn.

Clintons Send Message of Friendship to Israel

Excerpt:
Former President Bill Clinton and his wife Sen. Hillary Clinton delivered a message of friendship and support to Israel on a three-day visit here, feelings that seemed to be reciprocated, ...But Sen. Clinton's visit is widely seen here as an opportunity for her to shore up her friendship with Israel in preparation for a possible run for president in 2008.

H.L.s Take:
Sharon:
OK Hilary we will give you all the money you need to run for President, as long as you commit to keeping your troops in Iraq, getting killed for us. Because we are the ones you sent your sons and daughters to Iraq, and don't forget you will also send your troops to Iran, and Syria, to fight our battles for us so Israeli kids don't have to die.

Hilary: Of course Boss,... I mean sir. Whatever you say, I cannot run for President without you, and thats all I care about. (To herself: So I can lose to Jeb)

Sen. Clinton Visits Jerusalem Sites

Excerpt:
Clinton did not go to the Palestinian territories or meet any Palestinian officials during her three-day visit to the region.
"This is a very short trip and it has focused on two issues, one the Rabin commemoration, and the other U.S.-Israeli security arrangements," Clinton said.

Documents Give Insight Into Alito's Views

Excerpt:
WASHINGTON - Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito wrote in 1985 that he was proud of his Reagan-era work helping the government argue that "the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion," documents showed Monday..."I am particularly proud of my contributions in recent cases in which the government argued that racial and ethnic quotas should not be allowed and that the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion," he said.

H.L.s Take: Will the democrats take a stand against this guy? Don't count on it.

The Staggeringly Impossible Results of Ohio's '05 Election

Excerpt:
Is this the Election that will finally break the camel's back?
With so much going on, few have noticed the extraordinary outcome of last Tuesday's election in Ohio where the crooked state that brung you -- by hook and by crook -- a second term for George W. Bush may have turned in results so staggeringly impossible, that perhaps even the Mainstream Corporate Media (if only in Ohio?!) will have no choice but to look into it.

H.Ls Take: The Democrats refuse to even discuss this issue. Why? because if they did, they could no longer lose elections on purpose to their Republican Masters. Then they would really have to make themselves look stupid in order to lose, and they don't like looking stupid, just losing. (How else can they make all that extra money off of Bush's Tax Cuts for the Rich?)

Oil firms see tax rates fall

Excerpt:
Royal Dutch Shell PLC's tax rate fell to 37% in the third quarter from 41%, BP PLC's declined to about 27% from more than 30% and Burlington Resources Inc.'s dropped to about 33% from 37%. The rates were derived by dividing the amount of income tax paid by taxable income.

So? You Want Details About Who Lied, and About What?

Excerpt:
Marty McNett of Burlington (Letters, Wednesday) believes there is no proof that President Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, so we should lay off claims that he did.

I refer McNett and anyone else who is laboring under that misconception to read "Iraq On The Record: The Bush Administration's Public Statements On Iraq," prepared by the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform -- Minority Staff Special Investigations Division, March 16, 2004.

The Staggeringly Impossible Results of Ohio's '05 Election

Excerpt:
Will our War President™ bottom out in the mid-30th percentile, or can he actually tumble lower? Call me a glass-half-full cockeyed optimist, but I think we can get Dubya down to 19%. How? I've created a comprehensive 4 Point Plan to ensure that Mr. Bush will become the first President less popular than Herpes. My plan requires the (unintentional, unconscious) assistance of Republicans. I don't see this as a problem.
