Excerpts: Bush's Speech on Iraq

Excerpt:
While it's perfectly legitimate to criticize my decision or the conduct of the war, it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began. Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and misled the American people about why we went to war.

H.L.s Take: Not mislead Georgie, LIED LIED LIED LIED. And why would us anti-war critics say that you manipulated the intelligence to go to war...Oh yeah because its true, will the monkey wake up and realize that we all know whats going on, because apparently he thinks its still 2001

'U.S. forces 'shake and bake' Iraqi civilians!'

Excerpt:
Confirmation of this comes from one of our own Army's publications, Field Artillery Magazine, in its March issue, in a piece entitled "The Fight for Fallujah":
"WP proved to be an effective and versatile munition. We used it for screening missions at two breeches and, later in the fight, as a potent psychological weapon against the insurgents in trench lines and spider holes when we could not get effects on them with HE. We fired 'shake and bake' missions at the insurgents, using WP to flush them out and HE to take them out."
What the article fails to mention is that white phosphorous generates a lethal cloud that kills anything and everything within its dispersed proximity. It's hardly akin to a sniper's bullet to the brain.
More like an enveloping, inescapable, burn-to-the-bone horror that doesn't differentiate between armed rebels moving about in the streets...or families cowering many yards away.

Fallujah:The Flame of Atrocity

Excerpt:
Vivid images show civilians, including women and children, who had been burned alive in their homes, even in their beds. This use of chemical weapons – at the order of the Bushist brass – and the killing of civilians are confirmed by former American soldiers interviewed on camera. "I heard the order to pay attention because they were going to use white phosphorous on Fallujah,

GRAHAM AMENDMENT PASSES: HABEAS CORPUS SUSPENDED

Excerpt:
"The unusual provision, passed by a 49-42 vote, would reverse a Supreme Court ruling last year that permitted inmates to file habeas corpus petitions, triggering hundreds of lawsuits from prisoners who said they were being held with no basis."

The five Democrats voting for the bill were Senators Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut, Mary L. Landrieu of Louisiana, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Kent Conrad of North Dakota and Ron Wyden of Oregon."

Additionally there were 2 Democrats who did not vote!!!Corzine - New Jersey (didn't vote) and Inouye - Hawaii (didn't vote). If the Democratic Yes Votes and those who abstained had voted NO, this amendment would have been defeated!!

H.L.s Take: Still think the Democrats are on our side. Electing Democrats will not end the national nightmare, they are worthless pieces of Donkey dung. They are all on the same side against us.

Should George W. Bush Take a Cue from Judy Miller?

Excerpt:
Like Judy, he can say that he is leaving for the sake of his employer, explaining that it is always bad for the country when "the president becomes the story." He could even quote Miller's current complaint about becoming "a lightning rod for public fury over the intelligence failures that helped lead our country to war."
