Saturday Night Concert: Pink Floyd

Get ready for some really trippy music with Pink Floyd. This is from Floyd’s movie “Live at Pompeii”, it was shot in 1971, right before they became huge. I saw these guys live on February 27, 1980 at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. They performed “The Wall” in one of only 10 shows on the entire tour. 5 in NY, and 5 in L.A. (we will be featuring some footage from those shows on a later Saturday Night Concert.) OK twist one up, turn on the black lights, drop it if you got it, and get ready for some Pink Floyd.

    I was just checking out a couple of these songs. I saw this movie in a theatre a long time ago, and I have totally forgotten how heavy these guys were. Check out the jam that starts about 3 and a half minutes into the first one Echoes. David Gilmour goes OFF on that guitar.
    The drummer Nick Mason is going pretty good too. They go on for 5 more mintes of some serious Rock, check it out.
