Late, Late Night FDL: The End
The Doors – The End
As we wrap up another Memorial Day Holiday, the most fitting way to honor our Fallen Comrades would be to end the senseless and wanton wars that we’re currently mired in…!
What’s on your mind tonite…?
The Traumatic Duo
Apparently, alleviating even temporary suffering, is beyond the realm of government…unless it affects the officials directly. The “Trent Lott’s Porch Doctrine”.
Oh how lucky for the citizenry to see a fantastic pair of federal and local officials not really caring!
?
Today on CBS’ Face the Nation Cantor doubled down on using the tornado victims as political hostages for spending cuts to clean energy. He compared the situation to that of a family facing an unexpected expenditure.
Eric Cantor apparently comes from the kind of family that will not spend the money to get their dog spayed only to later go on to drown the resulting puppies. Sure it is somewhat motivated by being cheap and short-sited, but mostly for the thrill of possibly killing puppies.
Cantor has a kindred spirit in a small Alabama town of Cordova devastated by a recent tornado:
A mayor in a small town devastated by a tornado has sparked outrage over his refusal to let homeless residents stay in trailers provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency…
Mr Scott, however, has heard all the complaints but is unrepentant.
He said: ‘I don’t feel guilty. I can look anyone in the eye.’
So residents who lost their homes are out-of-luck, but the Mayor and city officials? They get to use the same, otherwise banned trailers.
Mr Scott defended that decision by saying the city can use small trailers because it is for the common good.
As opposed to unfortunate citizens getting a roof over their head. I guess it’s the “Trent Lott’s Porch Doctrine”.
- Kinda late for this, isn’t it?
- “More than 100” sounds like a bust.
- Good luck with that, Marco.
- They just can’t catch a break.
- OMG pollution is so awesome!
