During a prime time segment on his MSNBC show last night, anchor Keith Olbermann showed ten clear examples where the Bush administration issued terror alerts days after politically
damaging revelations and questioned the credibility of each of the alleged plots’ authenticity in light of astounding evidence to the contrary.
Olbermann overwhelmingly documents the staged timing of terror alerts spanning back four years and ends by scrutinizing the latest alleged liquid bomb plot – an operation infiltrated and surveilled for months by intelligence agencies, yet announced to the public on a carefully scripted pre-arranged schedule. The alleged foiling of the terror plot was announced days after darling of the Neo-Fascists Joe Lieberman was defeated in the Connecticut Senatorial election by anti-war opponent Ned Lamont.
Hours afterwards, drooling feverish Neo-Con cheerleaders tried to smear Lamont as "the Al-Qaeda candidate.”

Video: Bill Clinton Calls Liebermans Iraq Stance The Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Position

This morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, former President Bill Clinton explained Sen. Joseph Lieberman& position on invading Iraq is the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld position, and one that nearly all progressives disagree with. Clinton characterized the Lieberman position as: I want to attack Iraq whether or not they have weapons of mass destruction Watch it.

According to a recent World Public Opinion Poll, 71 percent of Americans said that the US should not have gone to war if Iraq did not have WMD, while just 27 percent said that the US should still have gone to war with Iraq for other reasons.
H.L.s Take:
I said here after Bill campaigned for Lieberman that he did it not to help Lieberman, but to bury him. Lieberman will lose lots of Republican votes because Clinton made a speech for him. Now that Lieberman is no longer a democrat, Bill can really open up on him. One thing though. Bill could have called it the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Hilary position. It has been said that Hilary won’t change her stance on the war now, because that would open up a firestorm of rightwing criticism, but if she waits until after she gets the nomination, then she can change her stand on Iraq…But will she get the nomination if she keeps up this Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Hilary position, we will have to wait and see.

Israeli puppet George W. Bush, spouting the company line that we all know is Bull.
Bush says Israel defeated Hezbollah

Excerpt:
WASHINGTON – President Bush said Monday that Israel defeated Hezbollah’s guerrillas in the monthlong Mideast war and that the Islamic militants were to blame for the deaths of hundreds of Lebanese civilians.
Bush admonished Iran and Syria for backing Hezbollah, which captured two Israeli soldiers on July 12 igniting the conflict. Both sides claimed victory Monday, hours after a U.N.-brokered cease-fire took effect, while Bush said Israel prevailed.
“We live in troubled times, but I’m confident in our capacity to not only protect the homeland, but I’m confident in our capacity to leave behind a better world,” Bush said at a meeting at the Pentagon where he sat between Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney.
H.L.s Take
When this started I was reading stories that said that Israel would destroy Hezbollah, guess what Hezbollah is still here. The “Chosen People” said that they would not stop fighting until they were gone, they are not gone. Now they sign a ceasefire they said they would not sign. Israel didn’t win, they got their asses handed to them. Way to go George. keep on lying. If Bush says it, you know its a lie.

15 killed in bombing, gunbattle in Iraq
AP
Excerpt:
BAGHDAD, Iraq – A suicide bomber killed nine people at the party headquarters of the Iraqi president Tuesday, and fierce gunbattles between supporters of an anti-American Shiite cleric and Iraqi forces left at least six people dead, officials said.
The suicide bomber blew up his bomb-rigged truck in the parking lot of the headquarters of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani’s party, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, in the northern city of Mosul.
At least five civilians and four Kurdish security personnel, known as Peshmergas, were killed, police Col. Abdul-Kareem Ahmed al-Jibouri said. He said 41 people were injured in the blast, which damaged the one-story office building and set 17 cars on fire.
H.L.s Take:
If we pull out now, the terrorists win. Ooops, sorry they already won thanks to the gross incompetence of our Commander in Chief.

CNN’s Lou Dobbs: Voting Machines for Sale on E-Bay

Lou Dobbs, is on the e-voting case again.
Voting Machines for Sale on E-Bay
Brad Blog
Excerpt:
Tonight Lou discussed the fact that Diebold voting machines and parts can be purchased on-line and at least one of those purchases has revealed a vulnerability in the Diebold TS-R6. The only response Diebold had was that there are only a few thousand of those machines being used as they are being replaced. Diebold obfuscates the truth; there are over 40,000 in use in Georgia and Maryland alone.
Hat-tip to our friends at the Open Voting Foundation who not only purchased the machine at E-bay, but went on to use it to discover one of the “worst ever flaws found in a voting machine” (at least until the next one is found, anyway.)
The text-transcript of tonight’s segment on Lou Dobbs Tonight follows in full.
H.L.s Take:
Gotta love Ebay, they really do have everything.

Federal Judge OKs Law Signed by Bush Even Though the House Never Voted on It.

George W. Bush: Always finding new and better ways to get what he wants.
Federal Judge OKs Law Signed by Bush Even Though the House Never Voted on It.
AP
Excerpt:
Last Friday, Federal District Judge John D. Bates conducted yet another feeble judicial capitulation to the Bush Administration when he ruled that it was acceptable for the president to sign a bill that had not been passed by Congress.
As many BuzzFlash readers may recall, a clerical error created a $2 billion discrepancy between two versions of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which each respectively passed the House and Senate by the slimmest of margins. The mistake was quickly identified, but Bush rushed to sign the stingier copy – which cut two years off of Medicare coverage for certain medical equipment – despite being warned in advance that the bill he was about to approve had only been voted on by one half of Congress
H.L.s Take
Congress is obsolete anyway by now. Just another example of Bush subverting the constitution to get his way. I’m sure they don’t mind. Those people on Medicare will just have to suffer while another 2 Billion goes to Halliburton to do nothing with in Iraq

X-rays won’t detect liquid or gel bombs

More tax money on stuff that doesn’t work courtesy of our Federal Government.
X-rays won’t detect liquid or gel bombs
AP
Excerpt:
WASHINGTON – The government’s new order that all airline passengers put their shoes through X-ray machines won’t help screeners find a liquid or gel that can be used as a bomb.
The machines are unable to detect explosives, according to a Homeland Security report on aviation screening recently obtained by The Associated Press.
The Transportation Security Administration ordered the shoe-scanning requirement as it fine-tunes new security procedures.
H.L.s Take
So let me see if I got this right. Now instead of having your shoes swabbed for explosives they just have you put them through the X-Ray machine even though that does not detect bombs.
Why don’t they just swab everyones shoes for explosives. I know they do it to me every time.
Maybe they don’t really want to find the explosives. If a plane blows up afterall they can take even more of our freedom away.
