WASHINGTON – President Bush said Monday that Israel defeated Hezbollah’s guerrillas in the monthlong Mideast war and that the Islamic militants were to blame for the deaths of hundreds of Lebanese civilians.
Bush admonished Iran and Syria for backing Hezbollah, which captured two Israeli soldiers on July 12 igniting the conflict. Both sides claimed victory Monday, hours after a U.N.-brokered cease-fire took effect, while Bush said Israel prevailed.
“We live in troubled times, but I’m confident in our capacity to not only protect the homeland, but I’m confident in our capacity to leave behind a better world,” Bush said at a meeting at the Pentagon where he sat between Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney.

When this started I was reading stories that said that Israel would destroy Hezbollah, guess what Hezbollah is still here. The “Chosen People” said that they would not stop fighting until they were gone, they are not gone. Now they sign a ceasefire they said they would not sign. Israel didn’t win, they got their asses handed to them. Way to go George. keep on lying. If Bush says it, you know its a lie.

Exactly how did they get there asses handed to them?? It was people just like you who were pissed that they were killing people in the first place.
You thought Isreal shouldn’t have been fighting back at all. Then when they agree to stop you become even more critical.
HL you make no sense you have no view or diffinitive position. I think John Kerry rubbed off on you a bit too much.

My god H.L. If that was not a ass kicking then I dont know what is. Trained seasoned hezz-quacks got driven back 100 miles into Lebanon. Hezzbollah added another loss to the war books. Them knowing the territory did not do STINK to keep them from getting a platter full of their own ass served up hot! Again the U.S helped in logistics, and weapons. You bet your ass. Strike that one for the 241 marines. To hell with hezzblowa!!!

I am not being critical of Israeal for stopping the war, for that I applaud them. Its just that now Bush is going to come in and say that they won the war, when that isn’t true. They are going to try to spread this false propaganda that they won, when they suffered plenty of losses as well, and stopped it as much to end their own losses as anything else. It seems to me that Israel, like the United States in Iraq greatly understimated the “enemy”

NO Israel, NO War, NO problem
Iraq was a zionist proxy war. The Israel was trying to provoke Iran and Syria into a reaction to start WW3, their “final solution” to eliminate all of their enemies. Especially when they hit the building killing 60 woman and children. Quite on purpose. Iran was smart enough not to react. The question is, what now? The only nation in the world that wants a major terror attack on the US is Israel. They need to start WW3 before Bush and the rest of the neocons leave office. Watch out for a major terror attack during Spring 2007, sponsored by MUSAD. It will be radiological in nature, to make the Iran nuclear connection. Bush goes to war shortly thereafter with Iran.
