If nothing else the Tory-led coalition government of Great Britain has brought forth a great lesson in the fruits of austerity.

Britain’s manufacturing sector shrank for a second successive month in November and at its fastest pace since June 2009 as output and orders fell on weak global demand, a survey showed on Thursday, fuelling fears Britain faces another recession.
Not that you’ll ever hear that discussed in our press.
The sheer desire to punish the middle-class in Britain led to the largest strike of public employees in years after the Cameron Government moved to slash jobs, slow pay, and reduce pensions. Naturally, of course, we know who the villains are.

Why else would well-known car enthusiast and proud tool Jeremy Clarkson of ‘Top Gear’ fame make a statement like this:
“I would have them all shot.
The presenters grimaced as he went on: “I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families.
“How dare they go on strike when they’ve got these gilt-edged pensions while the rest of us have to work for a living?”
The comic-irony of all this is that Jeremy Clarkson is an employee of the public-owned BBC and as such is paid a salary of $1.5 million plus an even larger share of merchandising.
How are the Republicans going to come up with a plan for drafting him to challenge Romney?
