Rice: U.S. ready for black president
AP
Excerpt:
WASHINGTON – America is ready to elect a black president, says Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
The nation’s highest-ranking black government official, Rice has said repeatedly she will not run for president despite high popularity ratings and measurable support in opinion polls.
“Yes, I think a black person can be elected president,” Rice said in an Associated Press interview Thursday
H.L.s Take:
Of course Condi wouldn’t run for President, she would have no chance of winning. What with all her involvment with Bush, Iraq, and the Republicans? No Way. So who is she talking about. There are no other black leaders in the GOP. Surely she doesn’t mean Jesse Jackson, or Al Sharpton, that would never happened. So it must be Barack. Good choice Condi, America has done a lot worse over the past 6 years and you know it.

Here we go again the Libs talking about Universal health care. Yes it works in congress because there is only a hand full of them but why don’t you go ask Canada about its Universal health care and how well it worked or maybe France. It doesn’t work for a country when the Government takes control of it. And if you think it does than you are one of those people that is dependant on the government just like they want. Universal health care has been tried and failed by more than one country so why should we try it and fail just like they did.

Monday, December 11, 2006Who is Barack Obama?
Freshman Senator Barack Obama, whose youthful optimism, charisma and oratorical skills have thrust him into the Democratic presidential arena, has been in the Senate for less than two years. But he is already coming under fierce criticism — not from Republicans but from Democrats — for not having done anything to earn his fame.
The criticism come from Democratic strategists and analysts who like him and think he has great talent, but who nevertheless question his risk-adverse posture, his tendency to bob and weave to avoid controversy, to stick to
platitudes that endear him to his audiences but who is unwilling to lead on big issues and wage contentious battles.

Actually, Obama is probably the last person she would actually endorse. Rice remains a conservative Republican. In all likelihood, she will be Rudy Giuliani’s running mate. Obama is a nice guy and all, but he won’t beat Mr. 9/11.

Perhaps the Democrats need to change gears. read what a CPA has to say.
Dear Friends, Clients (past, present and future) and Relatives,
I wish I could speak with each of your personally, but I’m in Hawaii for a couple of weeks going to seminars. Be that as it may, I have to impart my knowledge and experience to you regarding the upcoming elections.
There are many, many issues that bother all of us, but let’s go over the one I know more about than 95% of all Senators and Representatives – Taxes.
Let me summarize first, and then give you specifics. If you wake up each morning, look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself, “I am NOT paying enough taxes”, then please vote democratic. You’ll get your wish.
I’ve done thousands of tax returns since President Bush was first inaugurated in 2001 and can state that since then 95% of my clients have paid less taxes since his two tax cuts were passed by Congress (the other 5% pay no taxes at all-damm I’m good).
Here is the perfect example:
A long-time client of mine is as liberal as I am conservative. For the past couple of years, he has constantly bitched and moaned that the only benefit to him and his family because of the tax cuts was about $321.00 per year. Well, after listening to his schmutz for so long, I decided to see if he was right. After I did his 2005 taxes, I dug up the 1993 forms and tax charts and recalculated his tax return. I chose 1993 because that’s the first year of the massive Clinton/Gore tax increase. Well, using 2005’s income and expenses the 1993 tax forms showed he owed about $6,000! His 2005 tax return showed a small overpayment. He hasn’t said anything to me about taxes since sending this information to him.
Tax cuts don’t go to the rich, as the liberal media would have you believe. They actually go to the people who pay those taxes (duhhh!). According to the figures available from the IRS, 10% of the top income earners in this country pay 66% of all income taxes. So, it would make sense that 66% of tax cuts go to those people. See how simple it is once you get past the unintelligent emotion?
Another thought about taxes before I go on and that is about the deficit which the liberal media would have you believe will bankrupt our children and grandchildren. Right now our expected $294,000,000,000 deficit is only 2.1% of our $14,000,000,000,000 Gross Domestic Produce.
During President Reagan’s term the deficit was about 3.2% of the G.D.P. as he won WWIII without a missile being fired by outspending the Soviets. As WWII came to a close, the deficit was about 22% of the G.D.P. and I don’t think my parents were forced into bankruptcy.
One last note about taxes, I promise. Tax cuts have always increased government tax revenues. It worked that way for Presidents Kennedy, Reagan and Bush. A year ago, the current deficit was projected at/about $450 Billion. That’s gone down to $294 billion because of the increase in the economy and tax revenues spurred by the tax cuts. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
On other non tax related notes – think about the following:
If you don’t want to intercept phone calls and e-mails to/from terrorists overseas, vote democratic.
If you don’t want to follow wire transfers to/from terrorists, vote democratic.
If you want to give constitutional rights to Islamic terrorists, then vote democratic.
If you think the Geneva Conventions were meant for terrorists who are not in uniform and do not fight for a specific country, vote democratic.
If you want the United States to remain more than 60% dependent on foreign countries (many of which hate our country because of the freedom and opportunities we have here) for our oil, vote democratic.
Would you believe if we were allowed to safely drill for oil in Northern Alaska and far out in the Gulf of Mexico, we could actually have a surplus of oil that we could then export (wouldn’t that be a kick in the ass to Venezuela’s Chavez and the rest of OPEC?).
Now, if you disagree with what I’m saying, I’ll still do a fantastic job with your taxes and take all of the credit instead of sharing it with President Bush.
An informed voter is an intelligent voter.

So Outlaw you say universal health care doesn’t work in Canada, and France? so I guess you have been over there interviewing the reciepients of said health care. I suppose you have gone over the books and have learned all the ins and outs of treating poor people as opposed to leaving them in the streets to die. You say it doesn’t work, but how about explaining what you mean. Show us some of the date you have come up with in your extensive studies.
