Gaddafi Killed as Sirte Is Overrun

Former Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi was killed Thursday after revolutionary fighters overran his last loyalist stronghold and NATO aircraft attacked a stream of vehicles leaving the city.A U.S. drone and French fighter jets fired on the disorganized convoy leaving Sirte, which is Gaddafi’s home town and was his loyalists’ last redoubt, according to NATO officials. It is not clear whether the airstrikes struck Gaddafi’s vehicle, the officials said.
