After 100 years of determined effort without result, Congress has finally delivered meaningful health care coverage to all Americans. The health care bill that passed the U.S. Senate with 60 votes on Christmas Eve was approved by a majority of the House of Representatives and signed into law last month by President Obama.For months, people throughout Louisiana have heard hysterical cries from some quarters that the bill is unconstitutional and that it should be repealed. These naysayers are using these scare tactics to distract attention from the many important provisions in the bill.
