Late Nite FDL: Bob Barr Says “George Bush Worse Than Bill Clinton”
As someone who spent the latter part of the 90s wanting to throw large objects through my TV set during the impeachment hearings, the idea that me and Bob Barr would be sitting around jawing cheerfully about…well, anything — was an unlikely event.
Bob made it up to me. I haven’t had a cigarette in six years, but after that, I felt like I needed one.

Yes, Barr is really getting good coverage and thank you for getting him on Technorati this morning.
McCain just is not going to be able to say that about Bush…but he has to. McCain cannot just distance himself from Bush by keeping quiet.
What I want to see is Barr rising to 10% in the polls by September and McCain dropping into the 20s. Then McCain would have to resign his candidacy for “health reasons” and a libertarian like Sanford or Palin would then get nominated.
Of course, the odds are that the RNC will deliberately commit party suicide this year in order to hold onto power for its minions who would all be fired if the libertarians really took over the party. They are probably thinking now that it is just going to be an “off year”…and they can exploit the emotions of Americans later by deriding things like the recent SC decision which stopped Louisiana from executing 2 child rapists (yes, these people really counting on winning the White House again in 2012 if a few more children are raped somewhere and they properly exploit that politically).
It is not just Bush who has to go. More than 10,000 Bush Neocons are working in Washington, including members of socalled women’s groups like the Tahirih Justice Center which wants to enforce the new IMBRA law that forces Americans to be background checked before being allowed to communicate with foreigners via online dating sites. They got that law passed by saying that “mail order brides” were supposedly “human trafficked” because they “come from economically deprived countries like Russia” (Maybe it was true 10 years ago that Russian women “had” to try to marry American men, but today Russia is an oil exporting nation where tons of rich young men in Moscow could compete very well with American men for the best Russian women).
It really does not matter to them that forced background checks for online daters is inconsistent with the Right to Assemble in the 1st Amendment, not to mention the natural law right of people to say hello without government intervention.
