Perry Leads Romney in Florida
A new Florida Times-Union/Insider Advantage poll in Florida finds Rick Perry leading Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential primary race by nine points, 29% to 20%. All other candidates are the single digits.
Said pollster Matt Towery: “Romney’s saving grace likely is his position on Social Security, which helped him to a lead over Perry among Florida seniors. Even so, Perry did fairly well among seniors also.”
Voters over 65 backed Romney 31% to 23% over Perry.
Large Majority View Clinton Favorably
A new Bloomberg poll finds 64% of Americans hold a favorable view of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and 34% are suffering a form of buyer’s remorse, saying the U.S. would be better off now if she had become president in 2008 instead of Barack Obama.
