Senator Sees Charlotte for Democratic Convention
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) says she “is worried that President Obama’s interest in doing well in the South could bring the 2012 Democratic National Convention to Charlotte, rather than St. Louis,” the Charlotte Observer reports.

The decision was to have been announced in mid-January, but it was postponed after the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ).

“The board will replace an existing panel called the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, led by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker.”
Rahm Will Run Ad During Bears-Packers Game
Chicago mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel will spend $150,000 to run an advertisement during Sunday’s Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers NFC Championship game, the Chicago Tribune reports.
“The game, pitting two longtime rivals and founding NFL teams, is expected to be the most watched TV program in Chicago prior to the Feb. 22 election — unless the Bears win and get to the Super Bowl in Dallas on Feb. 6.”
