President Obama’s Dishonorable Deal
Peter Wehner, Commentary
Even I, a consistent and at times quite a harsh critic of President Obama, have been taken aback by the latest turn of events. To recapitulate: Mr. Obama released five high-value, high-risk terrorists from Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who it appears was a deserter–and has been known to be a deserter for a couple of years. People who served with him are calling on the military to court martial Bergdahl. Media reports indicate that at least six Americans died in their efforts to rescue him.
The Bergdahl Story Boils Over
Ed Rogers, Washington Post
In an enlightening story, The Washington Post gives us a look “Inside the Obama administration’s debate over freeing Sgt. For some people it is a living. What else does Al Sharpton do, exactly, except lie in wait for someone who utters a…
Who’s Racist?
Dennis Prager, Townhall
No day passes without a Democratic politician, a left-wing commentator, or, if I may be excused a redundancy, a left-wing academic labeling Republicans and conservatives racist.Given the power of repetition, one consequence is that many Americans, especially young ones, believe that one side of the political spectrum — the right — is racist.Having been involved with conservatives for about 30 years, I have long known that this isn’t true. In fact, the charge of conservative racism is so easily refuted that it is difficult to imagine anyone without a vested interest in libeling conservatives…
CA Republicans Embrace Opportunity to Rebrand
Karyn Bruggeman, NJ
Former U.S. Treasury Department official Neel Kashkari didn’t win much more than the right to lose to Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown again when he claimed the second place spot in California’s top-two gubernatorial primary on Tuesday.
