Libby found guilty in CIA leak trial

WASHINGTON – Former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby was convicted Tuesday of obstruction, perjury and lying to the FBI in an investigation into the leak of a CIA operative’s identity.
Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President
Dick Cheney, was accused of lying and obstructing the investigation into the 2003 leak of CIA operative
Valerie Plame’s identity to reporters.
He was acquitted of one count of lying to the FBI.
Libby had little reaction to the verdict. He stood expressionless as the jury left the room. His lawyer, Theodore Wells, said they were “very disappointed” with the verdict.

OK Pat, now that you have got a conviction for a guy lying about the leak, how about a trial for the actual leak, you know who did it. Cheney and Rove, now go get ’em.

TVNL Editor’s Comments: Libby is No Scapegoat
While the media is playing up the fact that the Libby jury felt that Libby was a scapegoat for the real criminals in the CIA outing scandal, keep in mind Libby is a PNAC member. Libby was part of the cabal that wrote about invading Iraq before Bush was even in office. This is one of the guys who were part of the crew who wrote about how a “new Pearl Harbor†would help speed up their agenda. You know…a new Pearl Harbor…like 9/11!
Sure there were bigger fish and bigger criminals than Libby. I have said from the moment TvNewsLIES.org hit the web that Cheney was the ground zero of corruption in the Bush administration and with each day my claim becomes more valid. But Libby is not simply the fall guy here. He was part of a group that had been hell bent on going to war with Iraq and there was nothing that was going to interfere with their once in a lifetime opportunity to advance their agenda. Nothing.

This is the first time I have been able to access the H.L. from home or work since Libby was convicted. I don’t know it’s bandwidth, too many hits, or someone who does not like H.L. Libby is simply a neo con lacky who’s gonna burn for his actions. I can only hope that this works it’s way up to ladder to Bush.

HL why don’t you try reading something other than your favorite media papers and you would find out that there is no case for “leaking” Plame’s ID because there wasn’t any law broken. Here I’ll help you out.
The act defines a covert agent as an intelligence officer serving overseas or who has served overseas within the previous five years. By 2003, when her identity was revealed, Plame had been living in Washington, D.C., for six years, her husband wrote in a book published last year.
Guess what that means that Wilson and his wife LIED but you are going to believe what your media puts out there rather than the truth because it doesn’t fit your world that you want.
