The Military is Afraid Of Anti-War Protesters Like You.

The Army is so afraid of anti-war protesters like the Quakers, students, and Hollywood Liberals. Maybe if they worried less about us and more about the idiot who sends them into these quagmires they’d be better off. I understand they have a job to do, and didn’t choose to be there, but we are just trying to get them home.
Documents Reveal Scope of U.S. Database on Antiwar Protests
NY Times
Excerpt:
WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 — Internal military documents released Thursday provided new details about the Defense Department’s collection of information on demonstrations nationwide last year by students, Quakers and others opposed to the Iraq war.
The documents, obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union under a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, show, for instance, that military officials labeled as “potential terrorist activity†events like a “Stop the War Now†rally in Akron, Ohio, in March 2005.
The Defense Department acknowledged last year that its analysts had maintained records on war protests in an internal database past the 90 days its guidelines allowed, and even after it was determined there was no threat.
H.L.s Take:
Potential Terrorist Threats?? Once again ass backward Bush gets it wrong. I have met several WW2 Veterans at these events, not to mention even more Vietnam Vets. I guess these guys are terrorists too.

You think they didn’t do the same thing during Vietnam with the protesters than. Wake up.

So what Out West, that makes it okay? We also threw Japanese people in jail by the thousands before. Should we do that again too?

And guess what Out West, the protestes helped end the Vietnam war earlier then it would have. Just like the protests now will end Iraq earlier. Our government would have all war all the time if the people let them. What we do saves lives.

It wasn’t the protests that made us get out of Vietnam it was the Dem’s. The sad part is if you talk to alot of the Vietnam Vets you will find out that we had won that war but the politicians wouldn’t let them finish it. That was in around 68. And Imz90028 the reason they put the Japanese into prison camps in WWII was because for the National Security of this country it wasn’t because they were just Japanese. Read your history books and you will find that the Japanese Navy called people in Peril Harbor just before attacking to make sure that the Navy was there.

Out West you’re factually wrong. Check out “Korematsu v. United States (1944), a US Supreme Court case and see the racial overtones of the policy behind the imprisonment of Japanese-American citizens.
Your history books are full of factual error. The claim that the US had won the Viet Nam war was just a charade to blame the antiwar movement for winning the war at home in opposition to a morally wrong war. Additionally there was no theoretical basis for the war since the “Domino Theory” was false and again, another pretext for war. Much like the “WMD” claim Bush made to invade Iraq.
Some historians have written that Roosevelt knew the invasion was upcoming but allowed it as a pretext to declare war on Japan.

I never said that we won the Vietnam war what I said was that we had the war won and the politicians made our guys stop and that is what carried the war on. We lost the Vietnam war all together because of the politicians and their B.S. Just like the crap that is going on with this war on terror in Iraq. As for Bush claiming that Iraq had WMDs why don’t you read this from an person who was on one of the inspection groups in Iraq. Kind of kills your “there were never any WMDs” http://www.iris.org.il/blog/archives/619-Strong-Evidence-There-Were-WMDs-in-Iraq.html
Now as to your wanting me to read the case of Korematsu v. US. well ok but than agaon the supreme court that heard that case is the most liberal court in the country. The same supreme court that gave a woman 1000000.00 for pouring a hot cup of coffee on her crotch, gave a guy an unreal amount of money and a new motor home for being stupid and setting his cruise control and going in the back and making himself a pot of coffee. Well lets see there were 2 cases and the other supreme court said nothing of the sort as the san francisco court did but cleared his record of all charges. Your also talking about a court that could look at everything that happened than pre historical papers and other things. What was going on at that time right than was a different story. Just like saying that knowing now what you know you would have voted a different way than what you did in 04 or something like that.

Old West, good god. Nice try wagging your finger at the Korematsu court for being too liberal. HAHAHAHHA! if you actually read the case you’d realize how idiotic that comment of yours is! And by the way that case was decided in the 1940s and bit before any of the cases you are talking about.
And correct me if I’m wrong, but I really don’t think the Supreme Court hears cases about coffee burns. You may want to take a quick look at a high school civics book to see a chart of our state and federal court system. You don’t know anything about it but are quick to trash it. Typical right wing ignorance.
You don’t know anything about what you are talking about.
