McConnell: ?Who wants to hang out with guys like Paul Krugman?when you can be with Rush Limbaugh!?

McCONNELL: Compare that [CPAC] to the left’s annual attempt to imitate, the so-called Take Back America conference, which last year drew about a third as many people as CPAC. What this proves, of course, is that conservatives are more fun and interesting than liberals.
I mean, let’s be honest. Who wants to hang out with guys like Paul Krugman and Robert Reich, when you can be with Rush Limbaugh!
McConnell then brought up progressives’ non-existent push for the so-called Fairness Doctrine, saying that it would be his “honor” to make sure that it doesn’t go through Congress. He further said that the measure should be called the “We-Can’t-Compete-With-Conservative-Talk-Radio Act of 2009.” Watch it:
Yesterday, the Senate also voted “to keep federal regulators from reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine,” even though there is no chance that the government will do so. The measure was added to a bill giving D.C. residents congressional representation.

So Rush Limbaugh remains the spokesperson for the Republican party–it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and pathetic. The “family values” party forms it’s platform on the rabid rantings of a fat, overweight thrice-divorced blowhard, a war-loving “got out of Vietnam because of a boil on his rear end” jerk, an anti-immigrant “anyone who does drugs should go to jail” proponent, who sends his illegal immigrant housekeeper out to buy illegal painkillers for him–this paragon of virtue who was caught smuggling illegal Viagra into the country. Hey, the guy never even graduated from college.
Republican are liars and unpatriotic–they do not have a novel idea in their heads. Bush spent eight years governing by veto, running the national debt up from zero to the greatest deficit ever, giving tax cuts to the wealthy during a time of war, a war based on imaginary WMD’s, while not including the cost of war in the budget, stomping all over the Constitution and the rights of citizens, and removing safety nets for the most vulnerable . They are the ones who got us where we are now, but they would rather stand by and do nothing rather than be part of the solution. Unpatriotic. UnAmerican. Unbelievable.
