If Bush’s surge is not working (which of course it isn’t) Bush will delay the report, he will continue to delay the report of Bush’s failure (what else is new) right up until the election. And the press chose to repeatedly jerk off last week about five British contractors being kidnapped. Day after day, that’s what those reading American newspapers and watching American TV got (with few exceptions). That’s five away from the 3500 mark and the 3000 mark was passed December 31, 2006.
