Independent Voters Favor Democrats by 2 to 1 in Poll

Iraq War Cited Most Often As Top Issue for Elections
Two weeks before the midterm elections, Republicans are losing the battle for independent voters, who now strongly favor Democrats on Iraq and other major issues facing the country and overwhelmingly prefer to see them take over the House in November, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The new poll underscores how much of a drag the war threatens to be on Republican candidates in competitive races. With debate underway in Washington about possible course changes in Iraq, Americans cite the war as the most important issue in determining their vote next month more often than any other issue, and those who do favor Democrats over Republicans by 76 percent to 21 percent.
H.L.s Take:
The only thing that can stop the Democrats now is Diebold, and as I said here the other day, If Democrats lose any of these elections it will be thier own fault for refusing to mention it for the past 6 looonng years. I will be the first one to get up here and say so after it happens.

HL I guess the polls that are saying that the GOP is coming back and either catching up or going ahead of the Dem’s don’t mean anything. The one that I looked at is saying that the only seats that are for sure Dem’s are Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. The rest are within the margin of error. So guess the Dem’s aren’t as well off as they say. Gee guess the GOP will keep control.

The democrats that follow the polls out number the democrats that dont 10-1! The more democrats that follow the polls, the wider their margin of error. As a result, and as alwayes the wider the margin of their defeat! Buck out!
