They are sorry they killed 34 Children, and 56 civilians total, but hey, that is where a rocket was lauched that landed harmessly, except for a couple of rabbits in an open field. You kill 2 Israeli Rabbits they kill 34 Children, this is the Israeli idea of a fair trade off.
34 youths among 56 dead in Israeli strike
Excerpt:
QANA, Lebanon – Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert expressed “great sorrow” for the airstrikes but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas for using the area to launch rockets at Israel, and said he would not halt the army’s operation.
The Lebanese Red Cross said the airstrike in Qana, in which at least 34 children were killed, pushed the overall Lebanese death toll to more than 500. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice postponed a visit to Lebanon in a setback for diplomatic efforts to end hostilities.
H.L.s Take:
Of course Condi couldn’t do anything to help end the hostilities, because she (and bush) don’t want the hostilities to end. All War All the Time, and they all get rich.

Lets get the Isralis to give back southern Lebanon. Lets give back Iraq and afghanistan. Well, that wont work because we will be back to square one. Hezzbollah will be right back to cross border raids kidnapping soldiers again. And Al qaida would be back to their safty sanctuarys of Iraq and afghanistan. To freely plan for the dropping of more American skyscrapers. So, not a good idea. These are not my opinions. These are facts. Without attacking me, rebut the facts. The create 5 for every one you kill , does not mean anything when they all already want to kill. There is no such thing as want to kill you some more. If we had 9 lives I could understand the arguement. The only thing that will decrease their multitudes is the sword. Its black and white easy to understand. You either like your american life style or you dont. It does not make you a “right wing nut neo feseco” or what ever the hell yall call it to want to preserve it at all costs. Ya know?? I want to be able to go to a concert without scanning the crowd Ya know??

There’s no “right back” anything…it’s going on right now! So to get from where were at the beginning of this mess to where we are now, was it worth all that death and destruction? Is anything better? Do you know what’s in that Iraqi constitution??? We put a hardline Islamic government into power. What’s going to happen when the people there (inevitably) vote for someone the US finds unacceptable? Do we go through this again?

I am not sure how HL believes that Condi or Bush could have prevented this. His next comment will be to stop supplying arms, not realizing that France and Germany would not stop selling arms to them.
No one in the US government can control Isreal and what they do or not do. Stop trying to place the blame on the US and put it on the people actually involved in the conflict.

Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and even Bush Sr. were able to help keep the Peace in the middle East. Only the failure Monkey has not been able to. Of course he wants war, in the middle east. But if he really wanted to, he could do a significant amout to stop it. How about sending Clinton, Carter, and even old Dad over there to try to help out with a ceasefire agreement.

For the sake of conversation. Why, when the Israeli rockets hit civilian areas do they express sorrow at the innocent loss of life? On the flip side. Why, when hezzbollah rockets hit Israeli civilian areas do the hezzbollah fighters proclaim success and victory? It is one mean ass million dollar question that brings to light the root causes of this conflict. Ass kickings. Past and ones currently underway. People dont forget ass kickings. Lets send Clinton by himself. You dont need three X-prez dudes traveling to that region. That would be dangerous. But, would Clinton be willing to press? hezzbollahs invoys might eat him alive. Lets see him push Nasarallah and Ehud Olmert together. I dont think the Israelis want to listen to a x-prez that makes deals with terrorists states, then gets his nation black ball burned. Like the North Korea fiasco. Hezzbollah knows about that. I think they would go back into southern Lebanon ten minuets after any cease-fire deal brokerd by Clinton.. So Bush is taking the right course. If I were prez, my course may be to Damascus with another deck of cards with 52 pricks to do in…..Buck out…

Those three presidents did not keep the piece in any way shape or form. There were flare ups typical to this one during each one of their terms.
We still do not control Isreal, we do not control hezz either. They will each do what they will do when they want to do it.
Next question from me is
Why is the UN so powerless to do anything anywhere? They were supposed to be overseeing the disarming of these hezzballah folks. When is the UN going to be held more accountable for there numerous failures??
August 1st, 2006 at 7:17 am
If the UN had the support of this administration, that would be a good start. We did that in by ignorning them on Iraq then sending Powell in there to lie to them.
This administration has created a vacuum for Hezbollah. We take out the Sunni government in Iraq, the Shiites go crazy, now want to control everything. And why not…there’s no Sunni power anymore to act as a check. We rah-rah cheered when the Shiites got control in Iraq. Guess we’re not happy with them now either.
And does anyone understand exactly when GW and Condi’s policy is with Hezzbollah and Israel? First they won’t call for a ceasefire because it’s too temporary. Now they want a ceasefire, of course after nearly a hundred more civilian deaths and some really lousy PR for Israel. Is it possible Condi has a heart somewhere in there after all??
Buck, Israel may express sorrow at the innocent loss of life, and I get that it’s a difference between them and Lebanon…but those people are still dead! That’s what happens when you fire a missile into people’s homes. Where is the surprise?

Umm so since Hezbollah has been around since the late 60″s whos fault was it then? Your argument holds no water period. Next thing you will be telling me something else is this administrations fault. First we don’t have a policy as Hezbollah is a state sponser of terrorism…..we don’t deal with those folks remember??
You saying that the UN has no support is a crock…….the US funds 50% of it and it does nothing. Why are you not pissed about your tax dollars being wasted there??
August 1st, 2006 at 7:07 pm
The U.N. is a dead stick. I think the figure is more like 75% funded by the U.S. taxpayer. The U.N. got its ass shell gamed by Saddam. Then U.N. cant even figure out wether or not he had destroyed his WMDs. I guess those 500 sarin gas shells fell out of a dinosaurs ass. Screw the U.N., let them move it to the influential, powerfull, resolved, steadfast, and mightily powerfull superpower France. They have had so much success throughout the years.
And they know so much about whats best considering they have had there ass kicked by half the globe.

Hezzbollah holds elected positions in the government of Lebanon, like it or not. If we don’t have a policy on it, someone is being incredibly negligent. And I prefer my tax dollars going to the UN rather than paying for more and more and more war.

I ask the question if when the media publishes the story, why don’t they publish the whole story.
What was told in the headlines, is that it was a brutal murder on Palistinian children.
Yet the media doesn’t report that, these women and children that were in the building, all were family of HezBollah Guerillas. They were given warning 48 prior to the bombing and the building was bombed because it was holding weapons that belonged to Hezbollah Guerillas. The warning was a flyer dropped on the area in 6 different languages.
After the building was bombed it stood for 8 hours until a series of bombs went off in the area causing the weapons in the building to go off and then the building collapsed.
This also brings to mind how the media uses the death of children to paint a picture of brutality. I believe that we have to look at how the media portrays each attack and how the media is making our opinions a volitile decision.
Please if you read this, copy and paste and inform all those who would be interested in this opinion.
