I have never seen such a holier than thou attitude from a "public servant"before in my life. I never thought I would live long enough to be ashamed of my own government. No wonder the world hates us.

I saw a comedian last week who told a great joke about how Bush's presidency has to be part of a giant "Punk'd" hoax on all of America. That must be it. Everytime I see GW on the news I think...this man can not possibly be in charge!!

You Liberals are something else. President Bush's terms in office has been by far the most difficult than any other President except during the American Revolution G. Washington's.By the way it was recently reported that Sadam Huesan's generals were stund to find out Sadam didn't have WMD's before the the US invasion meaning Bush didn't lie. The Patriot Act allows our authorities to transferr info quickly without alot of red tape. It is true that a President if he were truely evil, could take this power and make a Police state but this President will not be the one to do that. You have a choice to either give up a few liberities in order to make this country safer or look on TV someday and see that a terrorist has vaporized a entire major city and killing millons of people. It doesn't matter who is President there is no perfect way to do this

To anonymous, (the one before this post.) I think you are being a bit Naive there with Bush not being evil. And as for giving up my liberties for safety: I'll take my chances. Thanks for writing in.

Your comics and political commentaries are humorous; terrorism is not. I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said "Those who are willing to give up freedom for security, will {wake up} to find they {now} have neither." (paraphrase}. Bassically, the Patriot Act is a good idea, if not abused. My fear is the potential for abuse can be pretty high. I'm a conservative at heart, but don't ever take that to mean that I take anything the government says at face value. I am intellegent enough to be skeptical when the need arises, and patriotic enough when this country is in danger. And, terrorists are a dangerous threat to the safety, security and future of a free and independant United States of America, WITHOUT the United Nations!
