There’s a New Newspaper on Wall Street
Some say the media has done a less-than-stellar job of reporting on the Occupy Wall Street protests these last few weeks, but the 99 percent found a way to circumvent that: They published and distributed their own newspaper Saturday, aptly named The Occupied Wall Street Journal. The paper, dedicated to coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests, was paid for by pledges from the “crowdfunding” website Kickstarter.com. With more than $54,000 pledged from worldwide supporters of the movement, the project was able to print 50,000 copies of its first issue, with enough left over for at least one more. —BF Mashable: “PLEASE KEEP CONTRIBUTING!
