Close elections and other observations
Oh good another too close to call election and other sundry affairs.
A short time ago few knew, even in Wisconsin, who Joanne Kloppenburg was when she was running against long-time Republican Pol David Prosser to unseat the latter in what can only be called an off-month off-year election. Now she’s known as the “person who isn’t David Prosser” and involved in an extremely close race. Just what we need in the Midwest, another too close to call election. The preliminary results are here.
Meanwhile, I do not like to pick blog fights with other blogs, okay, that’s a lie, but I cannot help but notice that the Huffington Post’s coverage of the repression of the working person in Wisconsin and elsewhere has a rather hollow ring to it.
And finally, we have the newly released budget fantasy-fiction of Republican Paul Ryan, aka the “cast grandma out on the ice-shelf policy”. I’m sure you’re shocked to know that Fred Hiatt is intrigued.
