President Obama leaves Istanbul this morning to return to Washington, D.C. He’s expected to be back at the White House around 5:50 pm ET.

Voters Head to the Polls in IL-5
Voters in Illinois’ 5th Congressional District will choose a successor today for Rahm Emanuel, who gave up his House seat to become President Obama’s chief of staff, CQ Politics reports.
Voters there have only elected a Republican once in the past century, as underscored in the March 3 primary, when Democrats cast more than 54,000 votes, compared with less than 4,400 votes on the Republican side and nearly 500 for the Green Party candidate.
With that kind of one-party dominance, it’s almost a given that Mike Quigley (D) will be the next congressman.
