"I've Got My Own Hell To Raise" Since then the '07 release "The Scene Of The Crime" has garnered her even more long overdue recognition resulting in a Grammy Nomination in '08. The video for her "Talkin' Old Soldiers", a cover of the Elton John song is quite something. In black & white with Bettye 'living' the song in a way Elton John never imagined much less could pull off. This lady is pure, original class. The voice, the style, the whole package & presented like no other. These are cuts from her breakthrough 2005 c.d. “I’ve Got My Own Hell To Raise”
