Special Report: WashPo and Time Help ABC Bury Treatment of Kucinich
Media Bloodhound
Excerpt
Following last Sunday’s Democratic presidential debate on ABC News’ This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Dennis Kucinich’s campaign asked ABC News to address issues it had with treatment Rep. Kucinich (D-Ohio) received both during the debate and afterward in ABC’s online coverage….
ABC News representatives felt it necessary to answer the Kucinich campaign’s objections when Time magazine’s National Political Correspondent Karen Tumulty queried them. Writing on the Time blog Swampland, Tumulty initially says of the Kucinich team’s issues with ABC’s treatment (which included Kucinich not having a chance to speak until 28 minutes into the debate)…
First, just so we’re all up to speed, here are the issues (an aggregate of the thousands of complaints received during and after ABC’s debate coverage) that the Kucinich campaign asked ABC News to address:
* Congressman Kucinich was apparently deliberately cropped out of a "Politics Page" photo of the candidates.
* Sometime Monday afternoon, after Congressman Kucinich took a
commanding lead in ABC’s own on-line "Who won the Democratic debate"
survey, the survey was dropped from prominence on the website.* ABC News has not officially reported the results of its online survey.
* After the results of that survey showed Congressman Kucinich
winning handily, ABC News, sometime Monday afternoon, replaced the
original survey with a second survey asking "Who is winning the
Democratic debate?"* During the early voting Monday afternoon and evening, U.S. Senator
Barack Obama was in the lead. By sometime late Monday or early Tuesday
morning, Congressman Kucinich regained the lead by a wide margin in
this second survey.* Sometime Tuesday morning, ABC News apparently dropped the second survey from prominence or killed it entirely.
HL’s Take
The Washington Post, Time, and rest of the MSM should be afraid of Kucinich. They know that if he wins the whole ball of wax goes up in flames. No more huge corporate tax cuts. No more being a part of the “insiders” that allow the BS in this country perpetrated by Republicans to go unchecked, and unreported. Of course they will immediatly begin bashing him, but like with Ron Paul, the people are learning more and more everyday what a bunch of bought and paid for lying weasle bastards the MSM is. That’s why even though it is doing everything it can to prevent Kucinich, and Paul, from being heard, they are both winning online polls. The people are wising up.

Thank-you for reminding us about the ABC Poll. Both the ABC poll and the huge crowd at the Soldiers Field Debate indicate, to me, that Dennis Kucinich is not a long-shot candidate, this time around. However, don’t expect the corporate media to cover Dennis Kucinich before the primaries.
Let us remember that Dennis Kucinich has much support. Along with the ABC Polls and the Solidiers Field Debate, is the “Blind Taste Test” on the issues that was given to 6,7000 participants. In that test, the participants agreed with Dennis Kucinich on the issues, 53%.
Let us continue support Dennis, those of us who do. And, for those of you who like Dennis, but support other candidates, I have two questions for you: first, what about the candidate that you support REALLY MOVES YOU? Then, What about Dennis Kucinich causes you to admit that you like Dennis?
In the words of Dennis Kucinich; “Courage, America”!

Denny is a nutter. They probably distanced themselves like the right does from Ron “Whack Job” Paul, becuase they are both insane and should be medicated and placed in mental institutions.

Jenn: Why are Paul and Kucinich a “Whack Job”? “Medicated” and “placed in mental institutions.” A little Soviet speak there, isn’t it? Are they whacky because they might offer the best solutions for America?
Hannity Follower: I hear Hannity is a “lunitic.” Is that who you listen too?
I suppose this blog is populated by mental experts that moonlight in political commentary.

Keep chugging the chimp’s kool-aid.

I read folks here that besmirch Paul and Kucinich and call them \”whack\”, \”lunatic\”, etc. I\’ve seen this type of attack elsewhere where a person\’s mental capabilities are challenged.
Slander is no argument at all and shows that you don\’t have anything to back up your position. I can easily dismiss this type of tactic, but it reminds of how communist countries would accuse people of mental disorders and then lock them up without a trial. Read history and you\’ll see this type of account.
I realize these comments are not always very serious here, but on the other hand, they might be. Is this the way you attack people for having a different opinion than yours? If you really believe so, then at least present your side with facts about why that person is mentally unfit. Otherwise you\’re a charlatan with no credibility.

Don’t worry about those who are too authoritarian-minded to even be opposed to Bush, they are a small minority in the country and those opposed to fascism should be glad. The peaple are ‘wising up’ I believe, but I’m worried that the people are still easily distracted and can be convinced to vote for the ‘lesser of two evils’ that even if they ‘wise up’ it still could be hard to fight for an actual progressive change.
