Here is what some of the democrats are saying about Bush’s commutation of Scooter Libby’s prison sentence for perjury and obstruction of justice.

“Only a president clinically incapable of understanding that mistakes have consequences could take the action he did today. President Bush has just sent exactly the wrong signal to the country and the world. In George Bush’s America, it is apparently okay to misuse intelligence for political gain, mislead prosecutors and lie to the FBI. George Bush and his cronies think they are above the law and the rest of us live with the consequences. The cause of equal justice in America took a serious blow today.”

Ok Democrats, what are you going to do about it? Nothing. I suppose, the way they have done nothing about every illegal act Bush has committed over the past 6 years. A majority of the American people now favor impeachment. It’s being talked about all over the internet. But of course the democrats (with the exception of Dennis Kucinich, must be good lackeys and never go against King George. Dems will probably fumble away a 3rd straight Presidential election, and one that would be the easiest win ever. Good work guys

Who cares what the Dems say? It’s what they do. So far, we’re seeing the same old shit we’ve ahd with Repubs and Bush. No difference. what so ever. The problem is that both parties are owned by “special interests,” namely AIPAC. As long we this country keeps it’s current political setup, nothing will change and the USA gets further into the muck of foreigners disloyal to our country.
What Libby (a.k.a., Liebowitz) did, is considered and called TREASON in any country of the world. What is the penalty for treason? Capital punishment. This is what Libby should have received. The only way to change things will be to execute the politically corrupt members of all parties. They are the “scumbags” that deserve to be in prisons.
We on this day should be thankful that we still have some degree of freedom and not take it for granted. Because as we’ve seen with Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II is that we’ll lose our freedoms quickly if we continue to believe that they care about us and do what’s best for this country. They are not doing what’s best for any of us.
It’s up to we the people insure that the Libbys and Bushs of the world get their just dessert and pay the price. It’s been we the people that have been paying the price way to long, in blood and labor to maintain what still resembles democracy and a republic.

So if that is the case than why didn’t anyone complain about Clinton when he LIED under oath. Clinton did the same thing and all you dems and libs didn’t have a problem with that. In fact people like HL still defend him.

The Libby (Liebowitz) treason has nothing to do with Clinton. Clinton got a BJ by Lewinsky (Princess of Krakow) and got caught or basically blackmailed. The difference, treason versus carnal greed.
Speaking of liars, didn’t George W. Bush lie to the US when he stated that Iraq had WMDs? Didn’t Colin Powell lie to the world when he stated that Iraq was trying to obtain Yellow Cake from Niger?
Those lies have already cost the USA over 3500 dead in Iraq. Plus coalition forces had died. This doesn’t even count the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Aghghani citizens that have died.
You seem to want war Bill. Don’t you? Do you have kids in the military? Are you in the military? If you reply, answer the questions because your answer makes a difference.
One more thing, stop assuming that everyone that visits and/or posts on this blog is “liberal” or “conservative.”

As usual, the President did a half-way job. He commuted the sentence rather than granting a full pardon. Maybe he was afraid that Libby would sing like a canary once behind bars. Also noted is that Libby paid his fine with a cashier’s check. From whose account was that drawn?

LA once again you show your liberal ways. There are only 2 groups that people fall under. Liberal or conservitive. There is no gray area. You may call yourself a moderate but that just means that you don’t have the guts to stand up to what you believe. You go with what is popular at the time.
As to me being in the military right now no but I was when you were sitting your ass at home bitching about the way things were going. I was in the military when the cold war was still going. I also have family that is in the military right now not to mention a brother and and others that are in Iraq right now. Guess what, what the US media is telling you about Iraq isn’t the whole truth. So if you think I am for war that is fine that is your right. But I am not. I just wont sit here and let some other country do the shit that Iran and Iraq has been doing. And if you need to ask what that is than you aren’t as informed as you think you are.

Tell me dear Bill, what is it that Iraq and Iran are doing that threatens you so much? I’m not as informed as you are so why don’t you educate me and others that read this blog? Maybe the light you shed will convert us to your sensible ways.
Your view is that either your Liberal or Conservative? Is that the same Bush rationale of “…either your with us or against us”? Is it your point of view to see the world in such compartmentalized categories? So there are no gray areas?
I really don’t care what label you place on me, who really cares? I’m more concerned about my country’s future, the future for my children and family. I’ve been around the block a few times and I’m not as ignorant about reality as I once was. I’ve learned so much about how this system works and who has the upper hand.
So far Bill, you seem to support war and all it’s consequences. Really, what is your beef with the Middle East and Arabs? What is your agenda?
As far as the US media, I don’t rely on it further than the sports boxscores and weather. That’s about all I believe that’s reported by the US press. I read daily news from nearly every continent. I read the press from left to right point of views. My point of views are my own. I don’t need newspapers for my education.
Now tell me what is it the media is not reporting about the Iraq war?
