This slo-mo scandal isn’t about apparent petty corruption in DC. It’s about how Wolfowitz’s World Bank is killing thousands of the poorest people in the world, and knowingly worsening our worst crisis – global warming – every day.
Let’s start with the victims. Meet Hawa Amadu, 70-something, living in the muddy slums of Accra, the capital of Ghana, and trying to raise her grandkids as best she can. Hawa has a problem – a massive problem – and the World Bank put it there. She can’t afford water or electricity any more. Why? The World Bank threatened to refuse to lend any more money to her government, which would effectively make it a leper to governmental donors and international business, unless it stopped subsidising the cost of these necessities. The subsidies stopped. The cost doubled. Now Hawa goes thirsty so her grandchildren can drink, and weeps: “Am I supposed to drink air?”
She is not alone. Half a world away, in Bolivia, Maxima Cari – a mother – is also thirsty. “The World Bank took away my right to clean water,” she explains. In 1997 the World Bank demanded the Bolivian government privatise the country’s water supply. So Maxima couldn’t afford it any more. Now she has to use dirty water from a well her villagers dug. This dirty water is making her children sick, and she is sullen. “I wash my children weekly,” Maxima says. “Sometimes there’s only enough water to wash their hands and faces, not their whole body … This is not a nice way to live.” The newly elected socialist government of Evo Morales is planning to take the water back – and he is, of course, condemned and threatened by the World Bank.
HL’s Take
Bush controls the world bank, what more do you need to know. The Bush family has long been a proponent of world population control, (like in Iraq and the middle east) But Africa is their favorite. They and their mega corporate sponsors, need to keep the population down in Africa through any means (like AIDS, Water privatization, and poverty) God forbid those black people get an even break in the world, then The Bushes and the big corporate cronies might have to let them keep some of that money that they rape them for every year through the Natural Resources they steal from the African people.

After the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton with Hillary’s support promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished. The only thing that got punished were the American people’s eyes from watching the clock tick by!
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military personnel, President Clinton with Hillary’s support promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished. But no nuts came about.
After the 1996 al-Khobar towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 US military personnel, President Clinton promised with Hillary’s support that those responsible would be hunted down and punished. But more free rides for the terrorists transpired.
After the 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa, which killed 257 and injured 5,000, President Clinton promised with Hillary’s support that those responsible would be hunted down and punished. Now it was obvious Clinton was full a crap.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured three US sailors, President Clinton promised with Hillary’s unwavering support that those responsible would be hunted down and punished. But was concerned instead with helping Sandy Berger get a five finger discount on some national security intell papers.
Maybe if the Clintoons had kept their promises, an estimated 7,000 more people would be alive today. Them Clintoons people. Them Clintoons are knocking on the door people. And they are eager to get us back to the wax and tax years. Lets stop them!!

Thats Bullshit. The guys who were behind the first world trade center bombing were caught and convicted. Unlike you boy Bush, Buck. Where is Osama. Why can’t we find him? Could it have something to do with the fact that The Bush and Bin Laden families have been in business together for over 20 years?

HL why didn’t we have him when Clinton was in office. If he had done his job than those 3000 people wouldn’t have died in the towers. So your Bullshit doesn’t float. As to the rest of Bucks post the only thing you can say is that “The guys who were behind the first world trade center bombing were caught and convicted.” You can’t dispute the rest. Pretty sad when the facts speak for themselves.

As I said before H.L. How many times has Bush ducked his airforce generals when they told him they had Osama Bin Laden in their sights? How many??? How many??? I did not hear you!!!

You’ve got a lot of nerve asking that President when Bush got up on a pile of rubble at the WTC and promised to bring Bin Laden in dead or alive. How long ago was that? Right over 5 years ago. first of all, Congress (which was republican controlled at the time) wouldn’t let our last good President (You know the one before the one we have now.) to go after Bin Laden.
Hey Buck remember this line spoken by Bush. “And, again, I don’t know where he is. I — I’ll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him.”
Lets not forget the Bush-Bin Laden family connections.
