9 More Soldiers Killed in Iraq Thanks to Bush

Car bomb kills 9 U.S. troops in Iraq

AP
Excerpt
A suicide car bomber rammed into an American patrol base in Diyala on Monday, killing nine soldiers and wounding 20, the military said. All were members of the 82nd Airborne’s 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, the military said. Fifteen of the 20 were treated and later returned to duty, while five others and an Iraqi civilian were evacuated to a medical facility, it said.

In its Web posting Tuesday, the Islamic State of Iraq put the number of Americans killed at 30.

“Almighty God has guided the soldiers of the Islamic State of Iraq to new methods of explosions,” it said without elaborating. The message appeared on a Web site that frequently airs communications from militants, but its authenticity could not be independently confirmed.

It was single deadliest attack on ground forces since Dec. 1, 2005, when a roadside bomb killed 10 Marines and wounded 11 on a foot patrol near Fallujah.

HL’s Take
Just another day of Carnage in Bush’s war that he wants to go on forever. If we had pulled out Iraq like everyone wants to that would be 9 more soldiers that were still alive, 9 less families who’s lives would be ruined for the lie. The insurgents will never give up. Just like we would never give up if some foreign country invaded us and tried to take it over, steal all our resources and kill our citizens indiscriminately. We would be out in the streets fighting them with everything we had, and we would be right for doing so. There is a civil war going on over there and we can’t stop it. A civil war that broke out after we took out Saddam. Everyone knew it was going to happen, but Bush didn’t care he had to have his permanent military bases over there, and had to pump that oil out of unmetered wells to the tune of Millions of dollars a day. Lets end this already.

So what your saying HL is that Bush killed those 9 soliders not the suicide car bomber.
So now they want to say that God told them to do this. And yet the Qur’an tells them they are to promote justice, peace, and freedom. Nowhere in the Qur’an can be found support for indiscriminate slaughter, the killing of non-combatants, or murder of innocent persons in ‘payback’ for another people’s alleged crimes.
And you want to tell me that they are following their Qur’an HL and duing what their bible tells them they should do. Try again. The people that are killing our Troops and the innocents in Iraq are nothing but power hungery Terrorists.
As to you claim about the US stealing Iraqs resources why don’t you show me your proof. If we are stealing their oil than why is the price of gas not dropped. If we are indiscriminately killing their citizens than why isn’t the AP and all the other media hounds writting about it. As to military bases we have had bases in every country that we went to war with when it was over so that is a lame argument.
HL you are starting to sound like the cry baby pot smoking make love not war hippys of the 60’s that cried about Vietnam. Get real, you have no clue as to how the real world works. You have been in your Hollywood dream world to long.

  2. Douglas Says:

“9 more soldiers killed thanks to Bush” So let me guess Mr Bush supplied the car bomb and trained the insurgents. So he must of also trained the terrorist that attacted the towers, and asked for our embassys to be attacted, and caused the attack on out merchant ships back in 1801
Fact of the matters is this crap has been going on for ages all in the name of islamic beliefs. and he must have also told Timithy Mc Vain to go and blow up OKC. and while we or at it lets blame him for the USS Cole being blowen up oh yah he must of also be responcable for the Iran hostage affair,we can also blame him for putting up the Berlin wall,we can blame him for the fall of the USSRand i bet you you that he payed Monica to give slicke Wille a Knobber job,he is also directly responcalbe for the Green House affect on both earth and mars and it was deffently his fault HL was concieved.

  3. Anon Says:

Seriously, everybody, don’t you think it is time for Karl Rove to pupate?

  4. Buck Says:

I found some more of Bill Clinton’s hypocrite statements. I can factoid slam the worthess sorry former president untill hell freezes over. Well, lets take a look at the flip-flopper’s comments!

“We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st century. They feed on the free flow of information and technology. They actually take advantage of the freer movement of people, information and ideas.”

“And they will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen.”

“There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. His regime threatens the safety of his people, the stability of his region and the security of all the rest of us.” Bill Clinton- Feburary 17th 1998

Folks, what Slick did not say is that he was just talking sh*t! He did not say that the democrat party hath not a ball to spare amoung them. Bonified, french fried, and it can not be denied! It is my pleasure as a Bush supporting republican to point it out! There was “no more clear example” to Clinton of the nuclear threat posed by Saddam Hussein! As well, it could be said that there is no more clear example of a worthless president than one who would make blusterly statements but yet show just how chicken sh*t of Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden he was.

Clinton backed down from Saddam like the punk he was! Yep.. Just like the …punk…he…was!!!

But then again some people are just so stupid that they dont know copenhagen from worm shit. Does any liberal in this f**king room to stand up and defend there rights as a legal freedoom loveing man or woman of this country? If by me going to WAR in Afgan Iraq Serbia or any place that the cheff tells me to go save’s one person from Ass Momma never ben laid al-qadia or any outher man or group, that trys to or brings terror to my counrty then as a man it my job and duty to hunt that pice of shit down and kill them hell why not use some thing like a bucher knife and just make him cry for his mommy. O and and by the way I cant spell to save my life this I known but I can shot a gun own lots of them and love it so its great to be me

  8. Buck Says:

I own lots of guns also. Come on down to Texas and we will fire my semi automatic rifles and piss off the liberals!!!

  9. Craig Says:

Wow, you liberals are pretty stupid. How do you think it makes our troops feel when you say stuff like, “It’s Bush’s fault you’re getting killed in Iraq”? Don’t you think that these men and women were prepared to die for their country when they signed up for the military? They have something called guts, and i dont see any of you hollywood pussies rushing over there to do anything other than maybe apologize to the Iraqis for liberating them from a dictator who killed them by the thousands and placed them in mass graves. In conclusion, i am now, after visiting this site, convinced that Texas should just blow up california and get it over with. Then maybe we’d get rid of the majority of panty-assed liberals who voted against funding for our troops and then blamed Bush for their being underequipped (cough Kerry cough) That, or transport californians to Africa so they can fight AIDs and help humanity and all that shit. Because thats definitely not what we’re trying to do in Iraq. Go Texas!

  10. Buck Says:

April 21, 1836: We are in preparation to meet Santa Anna. It is the only chance of saving Texas. We go to conquer. It is wisdom growing out of necessity to meet the enemy now.
    -Sam Houston

Santa Anna’s army was surrounded by water on three sides. Houston’s 800 men moved into position on the fourth.

“There were trees there. Houston had men up in those trees watching ’em, and calling down to him what they were doing. He says, ‘The cavalry over there have taken their saddles off, they’re taking their horses to drink.’ This is siesta time; it’s 3:30 and most of the Mexicans are having their siesta. Houston immediately ordered them to line up.
    Ralph Yarborough

“Trust in God and fear not!” he told his men. “Remember Goliad! Remember the Alamo!”

Houston led the charge himself, swinging his saber. His horse fell, hit five times. Houston climbed onto another horse. It, too, was killed, and this time Houston’s right leg was splintered by a musket ball.

But Santa Anna’s army was on the run. The Texans and a company of tejanos under Juan Seguin were right behind them. The fighting lasted just 18 minutes. But the slaughter went on for another hour.

When it was all over, 600 Mexican soldiers lay dead, nearly seven hundred more had surrendered. The surprise had been so complete, the blow so sudden, that only six Texans died during the Battle of San Jacinto.

Santa Anna himself was made Sam Houston’s prisoner, and forced to sign a piece of paper ceding Texan independence

H.L., as you can see this is how the people of Texas take care of business! Radical Islamic ass or Mexican dictator ass or Gook ass or Nazi German ass or North Korean ass it dont matter! Enemy ass is enemy ass. Put on earth to be wiped from the earth quick fast and in a hurry!

    DONT MESS WIT TEXAS!!!

  11. Melody Says:

Right on guys I agree that the solders fighting in Iraq chose to join the Military! I don’t recall there being a statewide draft. And I also two guns and I beleive guns are harmless its the person that holds the gun that can be dangerous.

  12. sfliberal Says:

When I see that first post from Bill, Buck, Douglas, Kevin, Craig or Melody from Iraq then maybe I’ll start paying attention to your ranting. I think there are a few positions available in the Army and Marines over there. I’m not sure if the Mullah is already there or not. Otherwise you are all as big a bunch of cowards as Bush and Cheney were in the 60’s. For all of you, “it’s OK when somebody else is getting killed but just keep me out of it”.

  13. Bill Says:

    sfliberal…
    Spoken like a true Liberal.
To start with Clinton was the one dodging the draft not Bush. As to writting from Iraq you wouldn’t know if I was there or not. Next I know what it is like to serve in a war how about you.
I was in the military and fighting in Nicaragua so tell me just were it was that you fought sfliberal.
Oh and fighting in the Blue Oyster doesn’t count.

  14. Douglas Says:

but it is alright for the pot smokin libs to cut and run for canada when they are called right. Bush did not run your loving clinton did. as for messages from Iraq we have family and friends there so don’t had me you crap. I would be there right now if i had not fractured my back. have you ever served?? probly not the militery wants people will honer

  15. Buck Says:

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!

“The blue Oyster” ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Im not a coward Jack! Im not qualified because I support the war effort. The dems in congress went to donkey town with the bill passed today. So you and your fellow coward cut and runners SF liberal will have to get right, before you get left. oooooops so much for that. Yall open wide now ya here!! Here comes the veto pen! Texas style!!

  16. HL Says:

Hey Doug, not just Liberals smoke Pot. I know that for a fact. Maybe you should try some. Then again maybe not, you have too few brain cells to waste as it is. Oh and what did Clinton run from? He was smart enough not to make war a part of his business plan for the nation.
Oh and by the way SF Liberal is a Vietnam Veteran. He got a bronze star and was at the Tet Offensive in 1968. What war were you in Doug? And why haven’t you gone and signed up? Coward? Chickenhawk? Yeah thats what I thought.

  17. Douglas Says:

must of got under your skin HL if you revert to calling names and trying to sling mud. if that is the most you’ve got boy am i scared of you. As for me being a coward well—– hopefully you never find out. out here on the road we call people like you CB rambos. arm chair Quarter back is all you are. by the way how old is sfliberal? and what battalion was he in if he was in on the tet i just may know of him as both my uncle and dad was there also

  18. H.L. Says:

Arm chair Quarterback? and what are you? Patton?

I don’t know if Sf Liberal would want me broadcasting his age. let’s just say he is old enough to have been in Vietnam, don’t know what battalion he was in. If he sees this he can answer himself. I have personally seen the bronze star certificate however.

  19. Douglas Says:

never claimed to a military expert i’ll let the camander and cheif decied what is right for the country. i have all i can do running my truckin company. got to keep these thing rollin to feed you would not want you to starve. it’s my only way of serving my country. seeing how the miltary won’t take a cripple.

  20. sfliberal Says:

Douglas, I was in the Air Force but assigned to the Ninth Infantry Division to support the airstrip at their brigade headquarters at Dong Tam, in the Mekong Delta. It was also the home base for the Riverine Forces that patrolled throughout the delta. Dong Tam is somewhat infamous because it was the staging base for the battle at Ben Tres during Tet, where the army officer was quoted as saying “We had to destroy the town in order to save it”. Sort of encapsulates the thinking that led us to lose the war over there.

  21. Douglas Says:

sfliberal– i was just woundering. where i grew up i was around a lot of vets and heard a lot of storys bout what went on and where. my dad was in the Air Force, he does not talk bout it but has mentioned Mekong Delta once or twice. I don’t remember where my uncle was but do know he was army. any way i was just woundering why we should let the politcans run the war in iraq
when they proved during Veitnam they could not do it. at least that is the concluesion that i get from talking to other vets. while they mostly agree that we “probaly” should not be there. they all a have agreed we need to finish what we started and not let this be come a political power strugle that it has become. the feeling they are getting now is that “no one realy cares bout our Boys in iraq just as no one cared bout us in veitnam” and that hurts me deep to hear my friends say stuff like that. so i hope you can see where i am coming from

  22. sfliberal Says:

Douglas.. I think you have described the situation about right. We can disagree about where we go in Iraq now, but if we could just keep the politicians from starting unnecessary wars in the first place then we wouldn’t have these problems.

  23. Bill Says:

    sfliberal.
So you were attached to the “The OLD RELIABLES” than. You weren’t attached to the 148th or the 53rd.
The reason I ask is you say you were assigned to the Ninth Infantry Division to support the airstrip but the Ninth isn’t a support group. And the main forces in the Dong Tam were Navy and Army of which neither would need an Airmen.
So please tell me was it the Ninth or the 53rd which is a support group.

  24. Bill Says:

    sfliberal.
The reason I ask is my dad was in the Riverine Force on the Mekong River and he knows all about Dong Tam.

  25. sfliberal Says:

Bill.. fair questions. I was a Combat Weather Observor so I was in an Air Force unit while stationed at Dong Tam. I was housed in a hooch along with the Forward Air Control pilots and their ground support guys and worked mostly out of what passed for the control tower at the Dong Tam airstrip. So there were about 10 or 15 Airmen stationed on the Army Base all of the time. If your dad flew in or out of Dong Tam on the Caribou then he’ll know the airstrip. The Air Force flew the Caribou and the FAC flights but all of the rest of the traffic was army and navy helicopters and a few small fixed wing planes.. and Air America (CIA) planes and helicopters. Of course, as airmen on an army base we were often given a ration of shit, but I think the grunts appreciated it when we called in the airstrikes and I made a lot of friends among the army and navy guys there. I was able to get out to a couple of the Riverine ships now and then so I’m very familiar with them. I’ve only run into a handful of people over the last 40 years who ever even heard of Dong Tam so it’s great to make a connection.
