Democrats back away from Iraq troops withdrawal demand

For the second straight weekend, top Senate Democrats shrunk further away from core principles they had set out in the Iraq war debate, signaling Sunday that they were prepared to drop a timetable mandating the withdrawal of U.S. troops, should President Bush fulfill his vow to veto current war funding legislation.
Last Sunday, senior Democrats said that they would not hold back funding for the war if the president vetoed a bill including an Iraq withdrawal timetable. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), chairman of the Armed Services Committee, reiterated that point on ABC’s “This Week.” He said, “We’re not going to vote to cut funding, period.”
HL’s Take
They will never stop being weak and pathetic. They get lots of benefits and kickbacks from war just like Bush does so they really don’t care if it ends or not (most of them) They are just trying to make a good looking stand so when they run for re-election they can say, hey we tried but there was nothing we can do. BS. We’ll just have to elect a whole new crop of Dems. next election who will maybe then get the message that we voted for them to stop the war not make lame excuses.

HL please tell me that you are not suprised by this. The Democrats don’t care about the people. The only thing that they care about is their power and getting back in control. It has never been about what the people want. They told you what you wanted to hear so you would vote you in, they never planned on doing any of the things that they told you they would do. And what did you do you voted them in. And the only one you can blame is yourself because they gave you warnings of what they were going to do before you voted for them. Nancy told everyone on TV that they wouldn’t go after Impeachment of Bush and that should have warned you right there but no Y’ll jumped right up and did what they knew you would do and that was put them back into office were they wanted to be. Guess your finally starting to see just exactly what teh democratic party is all about. And its not the people. Most of us have seen that for a long time but some are a little slower than others.

So what was I supposed to do? Vote for Republicans instead. I’m pissed at democrats for not fighting more against the war, but the reality is they don’t have the votes as we both know. The only solution to the problem is to vote so many more democrats in at the next election that they have an overriding majority. Of course once Bush is out of office Bush will skate off to Paraguay with the billions of dollars he stole, and the war will come to an end. The only way to end the stench of republicanism is this country is with a supermajority in the senate, and house and the Presidency. That’s what I want to see in 2008.

Well you had that with Carter and look how good he was. I told you before that the only ones that the democrats care about is themselves and getting back the “power” they think the should have. They didn’t do shit for this country when they were in power other than make more welfare programs and get more people dependant on them so why would you want a group that wants the american people dependant on the government in office. You have bashed Bush about things like his Tax cut and said it was for the rich and didn’t help the middle class or poor and yet a CPA puts a post on here stating the facts about a client of his who did the same thing and he showed him the amount of money that he would have paid with clintons tax still in effect and it was 100’s more and he wasn’t rich just middle class and you still say that it is just for the rich and it hurts the country. You are showen numbers from a number of places that say that increasing taxes on the “rich” also increase on the middle class and poor and hurt the economy and you say that is a lie. They report that the US has had a booming economy for the last how many years and you say that is a lie. So tell me HL just what is it that isn’t a lie. The people that are saying these things aren’t just the Bush Admin. they are people that are paid to keep track of these things and they are lieing for Bush? Well than that means they were lieing for Clinton and every other Pres. we have had.
You jump on the band wagon with the media bashing Bush and you use lies and half the facts to make it look the way you want. Just like the article that you put on here.

That was the heading to one of your post and in that article it stated Monday’s blast bore the hallmarks of a series of al-Qaida suicide bombings aimed at further provoking sectarian tension and fighting. And you said that I was posting Lies and BS and yet it was your AP article that I read it from and you say that I am lieing so what does that mean about your own post. Is it a lie as well? Since the AP article is were you got that from and the same AP article is were I read that statement from and you say it is a lie than that means teh AP lied and you posted it.
You need to make up your mind HL you either want the truth or you want the medias version of the truth. You can’t have it both was. You want the real truth than try and get your facts from someone ofther than the media. That is why people like Rush, Bill, and alot of the blogs are doing so well, because they are getting things from places other than the media. That is also why the liberal talk shows are doing so poorly is because they keep repeating the same thing that the media is reporting and the people have figured out that they haven’t been telling the whole truth and in some cases non of the truth.

Yeah Doug, they are not like republicans, they can actually admit when they have made a mistake. Not like Bush who will see thousands die because he can never admit that he is anything less then perfect.

no theyb are like the french they will only back the side that is winning if that means swithing sides in mid tide that that they will do. if every thing went perfect even you would back bush but when things go bad you got to make your self look good, remember peter he denighed that he knew jesus yet he was one of his great follwers so he must of been a dem. right. I have not heard a dem. stand in front of a mik and say to the nation “hay i f@#%!k up please for give me”

H.L. sometimes I think you see the light! Why do you give me hope for you when you are just going to crash it?? Why would you want members of a party in control of congress and the presidency that will “NEVER” (and never is a serious word) stop being weak and pathetic?? There are a couple of republicans that have that same pathetic cut and run disorder. One is named Chuck Hagel! But democrats! Hillary Clintoon and her lying husband, Barack Hussein Obama, and John Edwards and the rest of the twits will” NEVER” stop being “weak” and “pathetic”!! They got it down! They got it down pat and they hold those permanent titles! Being weak and pathetic is something democrats just do.
