VP Tells America To Expect 40 Years Of War
Raw Story
Excerpt
Washington D.C. – In what may qualify as the most depressing sound bite to ever come out the White House, Dick Cheney is bracing the nation for a conflict that may span generations. “It (Iraq) is the kind of conflict that’s going to drive our policy and our government for the next 20 or 30 or 40 years. We have to prevail and we have to have the stomach for the fight long term,”
H.L.s Take:
They want the war to never end, just like in 1984. Everyday they try to increase their hold on power, and everyday they leak more clues about how the war (or wars) will drag on forever. They will take more and more away from the citizens of the U.S. in order to pay for the wars, stealing plenty along the way of course.
Here is a list of how the big defense firms are doing since the start of the war.
(saw this on Bartcop)
United Technologies (UTX), up 116%
Northrop Grumman (NOC), up 57%
Raytheon (RTN) and Boeing Co. (BA) up 16%;
RTN 73%
BA 256%
Rockwell Collins Inc. (COL), up 18%; 240%
General Dynamics (GD), up 21%; and 186%
Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) up 25%. 106%
Haliburton is up 233%.
But just before the scandals hit, it was up 333%
By comparison, theDow Jones Index Fund is up 58%

I got a friend that works for Halliburton H.L! Halliburton is doing alot of hireing! Lots of overtime and money to be made in the oil and energy fields these days. Also I have friends that work on the patriot missile in Lufkin Texas! Makes me want to run out and buy some Halliburton shares, which now that I think about it I will damn sure do! Ratheon and lockheed Martin are doing well on the missile defense work and I applaud them in their outstanding success! Success in both producing a weapon/weapons and success in the lucrative ventures of being professionals in the art of enemy extermination! Damn Right!!!

Actually most companies are doing wonderful in the US. Because of the WAR? Maybe, more than likely favorable business environment as theUS has experienced un seen economic growth . More people own homes in the US than ever. Taking a selected snapshot statistically will always paint and fram the picture you want to show.
Glad to see you are back up.
Cheers!

Yup – lots of blood money to be made by exploiting the murder of american soldiers these days, As long as you don’t have a conscience, ethics or morals. Perfect for the modern Republican’t chickenhawk who has no qualms about letting others do their dirty work, and die for their mistakes and cowardice.
Glad you resolved your hosting issues, HL. Hope it’s a sign of good things to come!
