Video: Clips from ABC Fiction “Path to 9/11″

Posted in Videos, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 8th, 2006 8:48 am by HL

Joe Scarbourough showed some scenes from the Fictional docu-comedy “Path to 9/11″, and had on a couple of guests that argued back and forth about whether Bill Clinton was to blame, or whether it was that guy who was in office that day. The guy the buck is supposed to stop with. Of course Bush is a master at passing the buck. Did you know that not one thing that happened to this country in the past 5 years is his fault. He had nothing to do with any of it.
Of course they keep him out of the loop, and let him play the game boy, and fart on people and laugh, so yeah he really didn’t know what was going on.
ABC keeps saying “We are admitting that the movie is not true, so why should anyone care if we turn the truth 180 degrees on its head and say that up is down, I mean we are putting a disclaimer at the beginning saying its all lies anyway.” The reason, in case you didn’t know, is that the brain dead audience that this bulls**t is aimed at is too stupid to care about any damn disclaimer. They saw it on TV, so it must be true. Here are scenes from the movie, and the debate.

Army shuns system to combat RPGs

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 8th, 2006 8:45 am by HL

Israel has come up with a system that can stop RPG’s which are a favorite of Insurgents in Iraq, and Afghanistan. RPGs have killed 170 U.S. Soldiers, but we are not going to use the system called “Trophy” because the Army already gave a fat contract to one of their favorite defense companies for a similar system that won’t be ready for another 5 years. When I say the defense industry gets rich off the war, (with plenty of Kickbacks of course) this is what I am talking about.

Army shuns system to combat RPGs

MSNBC
Excerpt:
Trophy is the brainchild of Rafael, Israel’s Armament Development Authority, which has conducted more than 400 tests and found that the system has “well above [a] 90 percent” probability of killing RPGs and even more sophisticated anti-tank weapons,
OFT decided to buy several Trophies — which cost $300,000-$400,000 each — for battlefield trials on Strykers in Iraq next year.

That plan immediately ran into a roadblock: Strong opposition from the U.S. Army. Why? Pentagon sources tell NBC News that the Army brass considers the Israeli system a threat to an Army program to develop an RPG defense system from scratch.

The $70 million contract for that program had been awarded to an Army favorite, Raytheon. Raytheon’s contract constitutes a small but important part of the Army’s massive modernization program called the Future Combat System (FCS), which has been under fire in Congress on account of ballooning costs and what critics say are unorthodox procurement practices.

Col. Donald Kotchman, who heads the Army’s program to develop an RPG defense, acknowledges that Raytheon’s system won’t be ready for fielding until 2011 at the earliest.

H.L.s Take
The Bush administration cares not about the soldiers on the ground dying for the lies. They only care about their buddies in the oil, and weapons industries. Its one big happy family with money flowing both ways, while the soldiers die, and our tax money is funneled away.

ABC refuses to let anyone but right wing bloggers see it. Video: Bill Clinton on The Path to 9/11

Disney/ABC flat-out REFUSED to provide Pres. Clinton, Madeleine Albright and Sandy Berger copies of its 9/11 “docudrama”, tho GOP bloggers got copies

Americablog
Excerpt:
Interesting behavior for a company that has a lot of business before Congress - a Congress that is expected to turn Democrat (at least in one house, maybe both) in about 8 weeks.

Republican bloggers, Disney/ABC is happy to give them complementary advance copies of its error-riddled TV show about September 11. But when the actual people slandered in the tv show ask to see advance copies, Disney/ABC says no.

I have a law degree. And you enter very interesting legal territory when someone expresses concern about the veracity of your TV show and you refuse to provide them with a copy in advance, yet provide copies to others. Okay, I’m being too polite. Albright wrote Disney/ABC and told them, flat-out, that the malfeasance they attribute to her is absolutely untrue. Disney/ABC has refused to even respond to her. (Sandy Berger wrote Disney/ABC as well.)

By doing this, Disney/ABC is making it impossible for Clinton, Albright or Berger to correct any errors (read: defamation) in the show before it airs. That’s negligent on the part of Disney/ABC, and it certainly suggests malice as well - i.e., the opposite of a good faith effort to get the story right, or in this case, an affirmative desire to keep the story wrong.

I hope Clinton, Albright and Berger sue the hell out of Disney/ABC when this show airs.

H.L.s Take:
Clinton still has not seen the film. Here is a video from Think Progress of him giving his take on the situation.

Another $469 Million of Our Money for The Pentagon to Squander

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 8th, 2006 8:20 am by HL

There was a partisan debate in the Senate. Both sides argued back and forth fiercely, but when it was all over the democrats rolled over once again and unanimously approved the bill. (but hey at least they debated fiercely.

Senate approves $469 billion for Pentagon

AP
Excerpt:
The Senate unanimously backed the bill after sometimes bitter debate that saw Republicans and Democrats exchanging accusations over the Iraq war and national security, major issues in November’s congressional elections.

The bill allocates $63 billion in emergency money for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Lawmakers say the figure could climb to $70 billion after negotiators from both houses of Congress finalize the legislation. The cost of the two wars is now approaching $500 billion.

H.L.s Take
Here is a quote for This Republican famous “Military Industrial Complex” speech. What Really Happened ran it this morning with this story and I find it rather appropriate.

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children….This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from an iron cross.” — Dwight D. Eisenhower

EU Lawmakers Demand to Know Location of CIA Jails

EU lawmakers demand to know location of CIA jails

AP
Excerpt:
Bush lies about CIA secret prisonsSTRASBOURG, France (Reuters) - European lawmakers demanded on Thursday that their governments reveal the location of secret CIA prisons after U.S. President George Bush admitted Washington held terrorist suspects in jails abroad….

“Bush exposes not only his own previous lies. He also exposes to ridicule those arrogant government leaders in Europe who dismissed as unfounded our fears about extraordinary rendition,” she said.

A European Commission spokesman said there still was no proof of the complicity of any European state.

H.L.s Take:
Wow, AP used the work “Bush” and “Lies” in the same sentence. I bet thats the first time that has ever happened. First Bush sets up a secret prision in Guantanamo, then he sets up secret prisions in Europe witht the help of the CIA. Why does everything that Bush does have to be a secret. Oh yeah because they are illegal. Up next are secret FEMA prisions right here in The U.S. which are already up and running and sitting empty waiting for the day Bush decides to use them on us.

US Losing Control In Iraq Fast

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 7th, 2006 7:50 am by HL

“It is unknowable how long that conflict will last. It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months.” -Donald Rumsfeld. February 2003.

What do you do if you hired someone to do work on your house and they promised to have the work done in 6 months and are still working on it 3 and a half years later?? FIRE THEIR ASSES. (Actually they would have been fired after 7 months, but not these guys. 30 percent of Americans want them to continue F**king up the house forever.

US Losing Control Fast

Attytood
Excerpt:
RAMADI - The U.S. military has lost control over the volatile al-Anbar province, Iraqi police and residents say.

The area to the west of Baghdad includes Fallujah, Ramadi and other towns that have seen the worst of military occupation, and the strongest resistance.

Despite massive military operations which destroyed most of Fallujah and much of cities like Haditha and al-Qa’im in Ramadi, real control of the city now seems to be in the hands of local resistance.

In losing control of this province, the U.S. would have lost control over much of Iraq.

“We are talking about nearly a third of the area of Iraq,” Ahmed Salman, a historian from Fallujah told IPS…
According to the group Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, 964 coalition soldiers have been killed in al-Anbar, more than in any other Iraqi province.. Baghdad is second, with 665 coalition deaths.

Residents of Ramadi told IPS that the U.S. military has knocked down several buildings near the government centre in the city, the capital of the province.

In an apparent move to secure their offices, U.S. Army and Marine engineers have started to level a half-kilometre stretch of low-rise buildings opposite the centre.

H.L.s Take
As reported here yesterday, the war is lost. If there is a way to F**k up, leave it to Bush, and Rumsfeld to find it.

Bush’s “Fear Factor” Goes Local With Help of FBI

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 7th, 2006 7:35 am by HL

Desperate Times (for Bush) Call for Desperate Measures.

Boo! Bush’s “Fear Factor” goes local

Attytood
Excerpt:

Instilling a sense of fear in the American people isn’t just for Donald Rumsfeld and George W. Bush anymore. The government’s 2006 “fear itself” campaign is now coming to a local newspaper or TV newscast for you, courtesy of the supposed apolitical “pros” of the FBI.

Yesterday, there was an unusual terrorism-related event right here in Philadelphia. That unusual event was a federal agency — the FBI, which usually is about as transparent as a moonless night — voluntarily giving out information to the local media. In fact, they actually invited anyone with a camera or notebook to drop by.

Their message: The big 9/11 anniversary is coming. And don’t ever forget to be afraid, not for one moment:

[J.P.] Weis [the special agent in charge of the Philadelphia division] said he knows of no credible terrorist threat in the Philadelphia area. However, he said, the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks provides an opportunity for the government and media to remind people about the danger terrorists pose.

“The greatest danger to America today is complacency,” Weis said. “This is a call to arms for every concerned citizen.”

The word “complacency” was the Tell, the sign that the Philly news conference was not an isolated event, but part of a coordinated Bush-driven PR campaign.

H.L.s Take
On September 11, I am going to duck tape up my sliding glass window that leads out to the balcony, and my front door, put on my Hazmat suit, and spend the day hiding under my bed with a shotgun.

Median Income is Down in 47 States Under Bush

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 7th, 2006 7:25 am by HL

Here is a state-by-state map of the median income of all Americans in the past 6 years. The median income is the point where exactly half the people make more, and half the people make less, in other words the middle class. You know that huge group of people that Bush and The Republicans don’t give a rats ass about. (they also don’t care about lower income, and upper middle class income, only about the upper upper class income.) George W. Bush, the failure monkey. He has failed at EVERYTHING he had ever tried.

Everyone is making less money under Bush, except Bush and his crew

The War is Lost

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 5th, 2006 7:38 am by HL

If Bush is in charge, failure is sure to be the result. Of course that was the plan from the start, as the U.S. has no desire to win the war in Iraq, because they are not finished pumping the oil from the unmetered wells, and the arms manufacturers are still building more tanks and bombs that they need to sell. So what better idiot for Bush Sr. to have installed in power in place of him then Jr. retard. On January 20, 1993 the elder Bush went to work to steal this country, and he hasn’t stopped since.

The War Is Lost

Rense
Excerpt:
The mastermind and the foolSince the previous report, Iraqi daily casualties have jumped by 50 per cent from 80 per day to 120 per day. Currently, Iraqis are dying at the rate of 43,800 per year from violence.

The Iraqi government cowers behind the fortified walls of the “Green Zone.” On August 31, the Kurds in the north took down the Iraqi flag and replaced it with the Kurdish one. Most of Iraq is ruled by Shiite and Sunni militias. Conflict between them has forced 160,000 Iraqis to flee their homes.

Who is going to tell Bush that the war is lost?

Is Rumsfeld going to tell him?

Is Cheney going to tell him?

How can they tell him after all the bravado and false reports?

This is a delusional administration. Confronted with three major polls showing that two-thirds of Americans oppose the Iraq war, Bush declared that he is staying the course, demonstrating yet again his disdain for common sense and the will of the American people.

H.L.s Take
Bush has already come on and said that The war will never end as long as he is President. He probably said that after a couple of shooters of Wild Turkey, but we all know its true, the American people have no say in their own democracy.

11 of America’s worst places to cast a ballot (or try)

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 5th, 2006 7:13 am by HL

As we all know, Bush is in power due to stolen elections. Here is an article that explains some of the ways they go about stealing. Want to take a guess where the worst 3 places to try to cast an honest vote are, no need I will tell you. Georgia, North Carolina, and of course Ohio. All 3 of these states have a majority who now despise Bush, of course you wouldn’t know it based on the stolen votes.

Just Try Voting Here: 11 of America’s worst places to cast a ballot (or try)

Mother Jones
Excerpt:
Get a reciept with your vote...if you canMachines that count backward, slice-and-dice districts, felon baiting, phone jamming, and plenty of dirty tricks.
We used to think the voting system was something like the traffic laws — a set of rules clear to everyone, enforced everywhere, with penalties for transgressions; we used to think, in other words, that we had a national election system. How wrong a notion this was has become painfully apparent since 2000: As it turns out, except for a rudimentary federal framework (which determines the voting age, channels money to states and counties, and enforces protections for minorities and the disabled), U.S. elections are shaped by a dizzying mélange of inconsistently enforced laws, conflicting court rulings, local traditions, various technology choices, and partisan trickery.

H.L.s Take
The only chance the repbulicans have this year and in the presidential election, is more stolen elections. If they win any more big elections we will know why. Of course to this date the democrats STILL refuse to even acknowledge that this problem even exsists. Now why would that be. Oh yeah because its all one big club, thats why.

No Longer Buying It

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 5th, 2006 6:51 am by HL

One third of all Americans now believe that The United States Government, was involved in the planning and execution of 9/11. The reasons are obvious, how else would they be able to get the American public behind the Iraq war, and war with Iran, Syria, and whoever else’s oil they felt like stealing. Of course it worked like a charm then. (Although we knew better within the first 2 days. It all started with the stolen election. This country has been hijacked by the biggest criminal conspiracy that the world has ever known. Free Country my ass.

Father Of 9/11 Victim Says Government Ran Attack As Media Hit Pieces Continue

Excerpt:
Bush did 9/11Another 9/11 family member has gone public to rubbish the conspiracy theory that the attacks were planned and executed by nineteen incompetent Arabs with box cutters who were
getting drunk in a strip club the night before
and
barely even made it to the airport on time. Meanwhile, hit pieces against the 9/11 truth movement continue in the lead up to the fifth anniversary
of the event.

A familiar emotional shell game on the
part of the debunkers is to proclaim that questioning any aspect of 9/11
disgraces the memory of the victims. This tactic is clearly not working
anymore especially in light of the fact that Bill Doyle, representative
of the largest group of 9/11 family members - says
that half now completely distrust
the official version of events.

Bob McIlvaine’s son Bobby was working
for Merrill Lynch in the 103rd floor of the south tower when Flight 175
struck. He was likely one of the unfortunate individuals who obeyed the
Port Authority’s ridiculous order for workers to stay in the building and
not evacuate even after Flight 11 had ploughed into the north tower.

McIlvaine is convinced that the attacks
were an inside job orchestrated by elements within the US government.

"Today, there are no ifs or buts
in my mind that this was an inside job. The US government orchestrated it
with the help of MI6 and Pakistan and Mossad. What they are telling us is
bullshit. The hijackers were patsies and Osama bin Laden was set up,"
McIlvaine told the London
Independent
.

H.L.s Take:
Of course there will always be people who believe the biggest conspriacy of all, that 19 arabs in box cutters were able to plan and carry it out all by themselves, ya right. With the help of the Bush loving media the full truth will never come the the public. Half the people who get thier information from television still beleive that Oswald acted alone.

Rumsfeld reaches out to Democrats

AP
Excerpt:You Craaaaaazeeee fool
WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld reached out to Democrats late Friday, opening up the door for them to retract their stinging indictment of him as Pentagon chief.
In a letter to Congress’s top Democrats, Rumsfeld said recent remarks he made during a speech in Salt Lake City were misrepresented by the media, including by the Associated Press. Rumsfeld said he was “concerned” by the reaction of Democrats, many of whom called for his resignation and said he was treading on dangerous territory.

H.L.s Take:
Sorry rummy the comic stands. Latest reports as of 6 AM this morning said that Rummy was seen last night sitting on Abe Lincolns head at the Lincoln memorial crowing like a rooster.

Missile Test Hardly The Real Thing

Posted in Latest Stories & Articles by H.L., Main Blog (All Posts) on September 1st, 2006 10:38 pm by HL

A Ballistic missile launched today from California shot down what was called in the press as a “target” that in “some respects resembled” the war head on a North Korean missile. A target, not an actual missile, this “target” only resembled a missile, and it only resembled a missile in “some respects” so in many respects it did not resemble a missile.

The “Star Wars” Missile Defense program if it is ever successful, will only be able to prevent limited attacks. In an all out attack our cities will still be hit. The test today was hardly the real thing.

This is from tomorrow mornings New York Times

But critics said that the test lacked key elements of realism and that its main objective had been to allow the Missile Defense Agency to claim the program was back on track after the interceptors in the last two flight tests, in December 2004 and February 2005, failed to leave their silos.

Even General Obering, after calling the test “as close as we can come to an end-to-end test,” said that the target missile did not deploy decoys or other countermeasures meant to confuse the interceptor from striking the actual warhead.

Decoys involve relatively basic technology that a potential foe like North Korea could be expected to employ, said Stephen Young, a missile defense specialist with the Union of Concerned Scientists, which opposes deployments of missile defenses.

“This test was as scripted as it can be,” he said. “It’s a very complicated test, technically, but it’s much simpler than dealing with an actual missile launch would be.” In a real-life attack, he said, far less would be known about the timing, trajectory and characteristics of an incoming warhead.

So what will end up happening is they find a way to beat one decoy, then the other side comes up with a new decoy, so we have to find a way to beat that decoy, it keeps going back and forth with both sides sending the defense industry tons of money (with plenty of kickbacks of course) but it may never actually work. It will be like computer viruses, and anti-virus programs. They invent a virus, so the software makers invent a way to stop it, then they come up with a new virus, and it keeps going back and forth. You can still get viruses, and the only one making money is the virus program makers. We would never know if it really worked unless we got attacked, and if it didn’t work it would be too late by then. So our best bet is to try to make peace with those who have the weapons so we don’t have to find out.

WSJ: GOP losing advantage over national security

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 1st, 2006 11:32 am by HL

When the Wall St. Journal starts slamming Bush & Republicans, you know it must be true.

Wall Street Journal: GOP losing advantage over national security

Excerpt:
An article in today’s Wall Street Journal asserts that Republicans are losing their political advantage on issues of national security.

Based on poll data, Congressional race analyses, and a breakdown of recent speeches by prominent Republicans including President Bush, writer Jackie Calmes argues that the GOP monopoly on national security is in a palpable state of decline.

Among additional factors weakening the Republican platform this election year, Calmes writes, are unrest in Iraq, corruption, outlandish federal spending, and a growing distate for incumbents.

H.L.s Take
Everybody knows that Bush is bad for National Security, anyone who says otherwise is just lying to themselves and anyone else.

New ABC Docudrama Blames Clinton For 9/11, Praises Bush

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 1st, 2006 11:26 am by HL

Media whoring for Bush gets worse every day.

New ABC Docudrama Blames Clinton For 9/11, Praises Bush

Think Progress.org
Excerpt:

Path to 9/11 graphic On September 10 and 11, ABC will air a “docudrama” called “The Path to 9/11.” It was written by Cyrus Nowrasteh, who describes himself as “more of a libertarian than a strict conservative,” and is giving interviews to hard-right sites like FrontPageMag to promote the film.

What will it say about President Clinton? Here’s Rush Limbaugh with a preview:

A friend of mine [Cyrus Nowrasteh] out in California has produced and filmed — I think it’s a two-part mini-series on 9/11 that ABC is going to run in prime-time over two nights, close to or on 9/11. It’s sort of surprising that ABC’s picked it up, to me. I’ve had a lot of people tell me about it, my friends told me about it…And from what I have been told, the film really zeros in on the shortcomings of the Clinton administration in doing anything about militant Islamofascism or terrorism during its administration. It cites failures of Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright and Sandy Burglar.

How does it deal with President Bush?

Condoleezza Rice gets that fated memo about planes flying into buildings, and makes it very clear to anyone who’ll listen just how concerned President Bush is about these terrorist threats — despite the fact that we’re given little concrete evidence of the president’s concern or interest in taking action. Maybe my memory fails me, but the only person I remember talking about Osama bin Laden back in 1998 was President Clinton, while the current anti-terrorist stalwarts worked the country into a frenzy over what? Blow jobs. In the end, “The Path to 9/11″ feels like an excruciatingly long, winding and deceptive path, indeed.

H.L.s Take:
First they take Monday Night Football off the air, and now this. Thats it I am boycotting ABC, (not that I would watch any of their trash besides MNF anyway) I suggest you do the same. Big TV Networks and Newspapers, are nothing now except for propaganda rags for the guy who gave them (the richest 1% not people who do manual labor.) those big tax cuts.

FBI probes office of Alaska Sen. Stevens’s son

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on September 1st, 2006 11:14 am by HL

Remember Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens. He got all pissed off and upset when his plan to drill for oil was defeated. He claimed he would continue to fight for it no matter what.
Here’s why

FBI probes office of Alaska Sen. Stevens’s son

AP
Excerpt:
JUNEAU, Alaska - The offices of at least six Alaska legislators, including the son of Sen. Ted Stevens (news, bio, voting record), were raided by federal agents searching for possible ties between the lawmakers and a large oil field services company, officials and aides said.

Among the offices searched was that of Republican Senate President Ben Stevens, the son of the senior senator from Alaska. Ted Stevens’ spokesman Aaron Saunders said Friday that they had no comment on the search.

H.L.s Take
Its all about the money. Never mind that drilling for oil in Alaska will ruin one of the most pristine wilderness left in The U.S. Ted Stevens and his son stand to make money on this. So Goddam everyone else as long as their is a dime to be made, even if it means they have to break the law to do it. Greedy Greedy Greddy
