You’d think George Bush would get down on his knees and kiss Hugo Chavez’s behind. Not only has Chavez delivered cheap oil to the Bronx and other poor communities in the United States. And not only did he offer to bring aid to the victims of Katrina. In my interview with the president of Venezuela on March 28, he made Bush the following astonishing offer: Chavez would drop the price of oil to $50 a barrel, “not too high, a fair price,” he said — a third less than the $75 a barrel for oil recently posted on the spot market. That would bring down the price at the pump by about a buck, from $3 to $2 a gallon.

But our President has basically told Chavez to take his cheaper oil and stick it up his pipeline. Before I explain why Bush has done so, let me explain why Chavez has the power to pull it off — and the method in the seeming madness of his “take-my-oil-please!” deal.

But Hugo Chavez calls Bush “the Devil” and he’s “an unstable crackpot?”

Speaking is worse than, say, 50,000 death women and children?

Nancy Pelosi came running to Bush’s rescue, calling the truth-teller,
“a thug.”

Why is Nancy Pelosi fighting for their team?

She didn’t have to endorse what Chavez said, but she could’ve said,

“Bush’s military aggression has caused hatred
all around the world.”

That’s a fact – she can’t get in trouble for saying the obvious,
but no,

she thinks the top House Democrat should run to the bully’s defense.

No doubt, Harry Reid ran to Bush’s defense, too.

Just a few years ago, Jesse Helms (Is he in Hell yet?) said “Clinton
better not

come to Carolina without bodyguards because
the troops might want to kill him.”

The military hated Clinton because he never sent
a man into battle who didn’t come home.

They LOVE Bush for lying 2700 of them into their
graves.   Why can’t they think better?

Did the GOP side with Clinton and condemn Helms?

No – they stick together because they want to win.
