Rise in Iraq violence kills more than 40
AP
Excerpt:
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Bombers and gunmen killed more than 40 people and injured dozens across Iraq on Monday as the government prepared to further tighten security ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, when violence traditionally spikes in the country.
Meanwhile, tribes in one of Iraq’s most volatile provinces have joined together to fight the insurgency in their region, calling on the government and the U.S.-led military coalition to give them weapons, a prominent tribal leader said.
Tribal leaders and clerics in Ramadi, the capital of violent Anbar province, met last week and have set up a force of about 20,000 men “ready to purge the city of these infidels,” Sheik Fassal al-Guood, a prominent tribal leader from Ramadi, told The Associated Press.
“People are fed up with the acts of those criminals who take Islam as a cover for their crimes,” he said. “The situation in the province is unbearable, the city is abandoned, most of the families have fled the city and all services are poor.”
H.L.s Take:
Impeachement, Impeachment, Impeachment. John Dean and Elizabeth Holtzmans words are still ringing in my head.

What would be the impeachment charge? Lying under oath?
‘Mr. president did you take the country to war knowing Iraq did not have any wmds.’?
He could respond..’All evidence pointed to there being wmds like the wmds of 5oo shells that were found already.’
Let me tell you no chance of impeacment exists. Here is why. On top of preponderance of evidence. As well as physical evidence( 5oo Veromex) The issue is very devisive. The democratic leadership in its desperate struggle to maintain any rationality stills knows that in war time that is a no no. On top of having more chickens than a Tyson chicken plant on foriegn policy they cant formulate an acceptable impeachment argument to the american people. It will make the democrats look like they are trying to divide the country in war time. That is why they will leave that one alone? They have to leap November first. Its going to take the dems some doing. So how much chance is there that Bush will be impeached? I would say 0. Nadda. Zilch. Goose egg. Donut. Strike out. Coming up empty. None to none. When pigs fly.
That is my honest take ………Buck out….

No Buzz it was the civil war that congress was lied and bullyed into supporting. The same civil war they would vote to stop now. The same civil war that Bush has said will never end as long as he is president. But of course you know all that don\’t you.

If I were a Repugnant (Republican), I’d be counting days until Bush see’s the door out of the WH because like it or not, impeachment is pending; the national press has made it a story, the polls support it, and all news coming from the WH is a sham. There is no truth to anything Bush and cromies have to say.
You supporters of the bastard Bush, are in denial to not think impeachment is a reasonable possibility. Bush deserves everything that’s coming his way because he is a liar and a fraud. It’s pathetic to believe that some losers still believe him or anything he stands for.
