Looks like The Marines are guilty of killing 15 innocent women and children in Iraq, but don’t worry, I’m pretty sure they won’t be charged. Its up to a military guy to decide whether to charge them or not. If the Amry is run at all like The LAPD, those Marines got nothing to worry about. They will even be free to sue a real war hero. Can you be sued for telling the truth??
Evidence Supports Accusations Against Marines In Haditha

WASHINGTON – Evidence collected on the deaths of 24 Iraqis in Haditha supports accusations that U.S. Marines deliberately shot the civilians, including unarmed women and children, a Pentagon official said Wednesday.
Agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service have completed their initial work on the incident last November…The case is one of several involving alleged unjustified killings of Iraqi civilians that have emerged this year, damaging the military’s reputation for humane treatment of civilians and triggering calls by some Iraqi leaders to end the arrangement under which U.S. troops are immune from prosecution by Iraqi authorities.
US Marine accused in Haditha case to sue Murtha

Excerpt:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A U.S. Marine suspected in the killing of 24 civilians in Haditha, Iraq, will sue Rep. John Murtha for libel after the war critic made public comments about the case and accused the serviceman of murder, attorneys said on Wednesday….U.S. Marines, including Wuterich, have been accused of killing unarmed Iraqis in Haditha last year. An investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service into the role of the Marines in the killings could lead to murder charges.
The Haditha case is just one of many in which U.S. servicemen are suspected of killing Iraqi civilians.
Murtha, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, has commented extensively about Haditha. In May, he told ABC News there was “no question” the U.S. military tried to cover up the Haditha killings, and that he would not “excuse murder.”

Just wondering how you can ever have a fair trial if you are prosecuted in the media before there is actually a trial? And I am not just talking about this case. How about the Duke rape case? Heck any high profile case that is touted in the media. Does that not plant the seed for opinion and doubt?
How bout we let the justice system handle the issue before people are pronounced guilty or innocent in the media?
Lets actually have a full and fair trial before senator so and so gets to tell you what he thinks may have happened. Or a defense lawyer gets to tell you all about what is or is not going on in a CNN show.

cheaper oil is worth the lives of hundreds of iraqi civilians.
1 israeli life is worth 100 lebanese lives.
fire tank shells at children throwing stones at those who displaced them from thier homes, the world is watching, and you expect people not to react violently?!!!!!!!
dictatorships of the worst kind are rampant in several african states, thousands of women and children are being killed, not a soul from U.N (the tool of U.S) is there to protect them;the holy U.S does not intervene there(no oil perhaps), and they ask why the world hates them.
very very depressing.
todays terrorists are tomorrows father of nation. (eg. George Washington)
mothers donot bless and send their sons to die fighting for their nation, if they were terrorists (talking about iraq – not al qaeda)

violence will only produce more violence; the U.S cannot suppress the world by its military alone(and yes the media too). even rome fell, remember that. respect the freedom and lives of others and they will respect your freedom and lives.

Buzz, you would make a good point IF we could trust military “investigations” to actually investigate anything. If the media hadn’t gotten a hold of this story I do not believe the military would have taken any real action in this matter. And plenty of people who were dragged through the mud before a trial were still found innocent-OJ, Robert Blake, the Rodney King cops. The pretrial reporting didn’t sway those juries.

Murtha is a disgusting person and I hope he gets sued.

Frank,
Typical republican, all emotion, no logic. Why do you consider a real war hero to be a disgraceful person? Because he is not behind a war that he knows is BS?? Because he dares to go against Godlike Bush??? Why do you hope he gets sued???? Do you even know why???
Even if he does get sued, do you really think that anything will come of it. It will be thrown out of court in a heartbeat. Frank you should be sued for posting such a lame comment.

Hell why not sue. Everone else has died and gone to sue heaven. Sue for this, sue for that. I think trial lawyers suck. You cant even have any liberal friends over any more because its sue sue sue all the time. I dont want to have to get a home owners policy just because some liberal friend of mine hates corporate America and hates insurance companies. They might fall down and SUE. Thats a bunch of hind tit bullsh*t. Weak people think like that. So, if Mr. Murtha is getting sued hes just getting sued. Welcome aboard the SUHHoooooooooooooo train. Buck out.
