Former Bush Aide in Murder, Suicide.

Posted in H.L. News, Main Blog (All Posts) on July 15th, 2006 9:57 am by HL

Ex-Bush Aide Fatally Shoots Son, Himself.

Washington Post
A former Bush administration official, after arguing violently with his wife Thursday night, shot and killed his 12-year-old son inside their McLean home, then turned a shotgun on himself and committed suicide, Fairfax County police said.

William H. Lash III, 45, was an assistant secretary of commerce from 2001 until last year, then returned to teach at George Mason University Law School in Arlington, where he had begun as a professor in 1994. His wife, Sharon K. Zackula, fled the house before the shootings, and police said yesterday they were not sure what ignited the murder-suicide in a first-floor bedroom.

H.L.s Take:
Another Bushie melts down, Typical Republican, couldn’t just do us all a favor and take himself out. No, he had to take an innocent 12 year old autistic boy with him. I keep wondering how long it will be until Bush’s Melt down comes.

    You are an ass

  2. HL Says:

I’m an Ass??? I wasn’t the one who picked up a gun killed a 12 year old boy, then shot myself, I just put it up here on the site, with the help of The Washington Post. Do you disagree that it would have been better for the guy to just kill himself, and not kill his son as well?? I guess he did that to get back at his wife. So rather then just be a man and leave her. He goes and kills both of them. I guess you are pro child murder? But I’m an Ass???

  3. B Lucas Says:

Clearly I was talking about your politicizing a tragedy like this. If you do not remember, just take a look at your commentary below the link to the article. So, no, you did “just put it up here on the site.”

  4. HL Says:

Again I am going to have to disagree with you. I am merely stating my opinion on a story that appeared in the mainstream press. How am I politicizing it.? I would say the same thing about the guy if he was a Democrat, or completly apolitical. The fact that the guy works for Bush Politicizes the story. It was already politicized before Igot ahold of it. Come on admit it. You just don’t like any negative stories about Republicans.

  5. Anonymous Says:

No, I just happened to know him and am trying to wrap my head around what could have caused such a thing to happen. Over and out.

  6. LA Says:

I smell BS here. I don’t believe anonymous or blucas. You need to ask the question: Why? Is this just happenstance? If yes, then the guy was an asshole to kill his son. If not, then why? No politics here, why would you do such a thing?
