HERE,
Go to The Hollywood Liberal's Main Page. March 11, 2005. Hey everyone, I am back from my occasional part time job, Watching TV for the Post production industry. Today I had to watch 2 episodes of the program "America's Next Top Model", Aside from my usual task of making sure the program is ready to go on air in terms of technical merit; My other duty on this show is to look for "Wardrobe Malfunctions" such as exposed Nipples, or other areas a model should not show on TV. A big Thank You to Janet Jackson, She is getting me more work, on nipple patrol. As it turns out todays 2 episodes had no such occurences. OK lets get to a few items before I go back to sleep. I had to get up early (for me) this morning. Only 4 more days until Justin Raimondo comes to Whittier Law School. From: The Legal Anarchist. Hey, Here's a flyer for Justin. And don't forget, its FREE! Heres a story about The Battle of Iwo Jima, in WW2. It turns out that battle was just as unnecessary as the entire Iraq conflict has been. 26,000 dead, 6,000 American Soldiers; but the Army had to buy a lot of Bullets, guns, uniforms, and other assorted weapons to fight it, so as far as they were concerned it was a huge success. L.A. Times Rethinking the Iwo Jima MythOn Feb. 19, 1945, 30,000 Marines splashed ashore on a small volcanic island in the central Pacific. After four days of bitter fighting, a small patrol reached the peak of Mt. Suribachi, where it planted a U.S. flag in an iconic scene captured by photographer Joe Rosenthal. This famous image was hardly the end of the battle. Iwo Jima would not be secure until March 26. Almost all of the 21,000 Japanese defenders elected to die rather than surrender. Rooting them out cost more than 6,000 American dead and 20,000 wounded, making this the costliest battle in the storied history of the Marine Corps.Read the whole story, and your comments on The Blog. From: Jack B. Dear H.L., You have a very good site. I, for one, want to see it continue. Give me a snail mail address and I will send a check. This will be money I will never again give to elect Kerry to any office. Howard Dean, in my opinion, is the last gasp of hope for the Dems in the world we currently know. I have been a Dem for 50 years, am 67 years old, and am finally to the point of thinking we have a one-party system and they are in bed with one another. Kerry bellied-up in one day! Damn, he lied to us all. As a rural Okie with agrarian populist roots (no pun intended) I am soooo disappointed with the Dems right now. Hope you survive. Having information available is the best and only way to beat the monkey king's forces. It's people like you who give us all hope for better days. Thanks for your site. It's in my bookmarks now. Jack B H.L. Responds: Jack, Thank you for the kind words regarding my site. I agree that Howard Dean is our only hope for the Democrats. Lets hope he does not sell out like the rest. Thank You Very much for the donation. I really appreciate it. I am going to work hard to make this site, the best. Thanks again H.L. OK thats it for now. Don't forget to come on down to Costa Mesa this tuesday at noon. See you there. Read The Next H.L. Back Issue To see all of the Issues. Go to our Back Issues Page |
